Cool. I should be just now entering this stage. If my results are about the same, then I will be making the switch full time. I am definitely open to it.
Good to see you back on the board BLJ! Your hempy is gonna rock...all of us here on WOH will ensure that!

Thanks jela10! Is it normal to see roots trying to poke thru the coco? I have a feeling that I am watering too fast.
When I ran 100% Perlite, there was a lag after transplant waiting for the roots to hit the res, but since I switched over to Coco, I no longer experience the Lag, they just Take OFF.. I also went back to watering Daily, and my Grow Results Improved considerably over waiting a couple days between watering. I have also noticed that pushing the PPMs a bit also helps them move right along.

Keep it up and you'll dig it!

Okay, so my camera is back in order. I have two things to share:

First is my White Widow Clone in coco Hempy with Perlite Res:

The second is a DWC Somango Widow (Advanced Seeds) that I put into the Bucket on Saturday or Sunday:

Both are Vegging under T-5s with supplemental 42w CFLs on the sides.

I typically veg for 6-8 weeks, but the current plan is to veg WW for 3 more weeks before flipping and SW for 4-5 weeks before flipping.

I also have a seedling I just put into my DWC bucket (not pictured) of Berry Bomb, by Bomb Seeds. This one is going to veg a while and I intend to try to "mainline" it.

I didn't snap any photos of my flowering girls, as they are both DWC.

Yeah if u have a good way to water with out moving it, a scrog would be an awesome idea...I let my hempys drain into a square tub in which they sit...and then I suck run off out with a shop vac

Based on advice from Jela10 I have my bucket draining in an oil pan from the auto parts store. I like the shopvac idea. My last watering I took a baster sucked up the run off and watered my veggie beds with it.

Shit man, my bed exploded. Lettuce, kale, collards, onions, cauliflower and broccoli.

I dump my DWC buckets in my beds too. Why not get some bang for the buck on these nutes, yaknow?

Since I skipped a grow cycle to have a worry free vacation I've got little to report. I planted some Mandela seeds Satori on Christmas day. They've been in the veg box under T8's and I've been a bad grower, letting them over dry a couple of times. So yesterday I decided to put them under the big lamp since I have nothing in flower, and now it will be easier for me to keep an eye on them. I turned off one of the bulbs in the hood. I plan on transplanting them into 2 qts of soil this weekend, and letting them veg for another 4 wks or so, then into 2gal buckets

Here's a little bud porn from the Hempy system.
Bay 11 - These buds have been in jars for 5 months now, and man is it good tasting and smooth.

Did you notice the fat seed cracking out in the last photo? I did some selective pollen pitching, but there is always a little collateral damage, I'll save that seed too.

Here's a clone of Rare Dankness Miday in a 2 gal hempy that's 50/50 Promix BX and perlite when she got flowered and at two weeks. She's getting fed Jack's All Purpose and seems quite happy so far.

The run from seed she was extremely stretchy and produced really airy flowers but they were a great smoke. Out of 4 beans I got 3 males 2 of which looked much nicer than the female so I'm going to pheno hunt when I have space but I wanted to try a few things that this plant seemed like a good choice for experimenting with.

I'm using tap water and haven't seen an issue, I'm also in peat/perlite so I don't have the CEC issues of coco. I've been playing with bottom feeding with a stagnant res in veg and it works just fine so I'm confident this will work just fine.
