Good to hear your day is going better today who, i started off with the intentions of rotating my plants to achieve the best possible canopy but due to my scrog crates its some what of a pain in the ass so i failed to do it, you can definitely see the difference in the limbs that sat more less on the out side of the light foot print the whole time though, the growth is pretty crappy by comparison, as far as stress goes i cant see the light moving bothering them, out side the sun passes over them every day and illuminates all different parts of the plants threw out the day...

My original plan was to fill my 2x5 foot closet to capacity with 3 scrog crates and then rotate them every time i watered to get the pest possible harvest kinda like a manual light mover, but after seeing this run i am not so sure its the best idea because as i said the limbs on the out side of my lights foot print really did not perform well and they were a lot closer than the farthest crate in my rotating scrog crate system would be, so i think for this new run i am going to ditch the scrog and try out a mainline grow or rebuild the crates to make them a lot less of a hassle to move. I would really like to get a light mover, when it comes to bang for buck it seems like it would be a great investment but i dont have the money right now and i would have to redo my whole suspension system to be able to use it, so fuck all that ill just mainline and move them my self...

heres my question, do you turn your plants and move them daily? I'm wondering if this stresses them?

I move all of mine everyday and rearrange under the light for the best light...
This is a good question as I think about it too...sometimes buds get so heavy and floppy, I tend to want to turn the plant to where the "leaners" go up against the rear walls of the tent. Then I think "well that buds been used to the same light direction, what if it hermies over stress?" I end up getting out the string and stakes and tying things up from flipping out the tent door. Call me paranoid.

Jela I tie mine too but now to stakes and still move them, Your tent is just too small cause u grow huge plants, Mine are just 2 liters

I just wonder if it helps the buds kinda get done in spots, like a more even coverage...

Psil I built a moveable hempy scrog, used an automatic watering garden box, put hydrotron and perlite in the bin, 4 plants and then a full size screen...I put the screen on legs so I can lift it and the window box at the same time, I was thinking of putting a turntable under it...

The turn table sounds like an awesome idea who i wish i could do something like what you've got going on but my space is just way to cramped for anything like that, I'm half tempted to throw my 1000 k watt ballast in there and a see what happens lol, anyone ever seen a 1k watt grow in a 2x5 closet, i wonder if i could even control the temps...

Anyways on to another subject i just got done painting my light trap black with spray paint and then i read the label on the spray paint... It says once dry this product if disturbed may release lead dust into the air and this concerns me some what, this is going to be on the intake of my flowering room which vents into my computer room where i usually am, so i am wondering do you guys think that a carbon filter would remove lead dust from the air? I am also some what concerned that the lead dust might get caught in the sticky bud resin on its way to the carbon filter ><, i wouldn't be so concerned about this but when i painted them i didn't realize how much saw dust was still on the wood so there are plenty of loose bits of paint around...

My plan is to use my shop vac to blow the light traps out and then once i have them installed i will turn my ventilation up to full blast for a day or 2 to evacuate any particles left behind that may get shaken loose during my grows but if my carbon filter will not catch the lead dust i don't want to expose my self to excessive amounts of it while I'm using my ventilation to get it out o the flower room...

Evening my friends, Better day today...

Has anyone heard from Moe? I do hope he's hanging tall....we are waiting to hear some good news...

heres my question, do you turn your plants and move them daily? I'm wondering if this stresses them?

This is something that I have always wondered about.

If plants are not moved, then the branches of each plant that are best
situated will show stronger growth than other branches on the same plant.
...and over time this difference will increase.

If the plants are periodically shifted so that every side of each plant
gets the nearly the same amount of light, then all of the branches of
each plant should have developed equally.

Now, it seems reasonable that none of the tops from the second method
will either be as large as the bigger tops on the non-moved plants nor
as small as the smaller tops from those plants.

....but I have no idea what the overall effect on yield would be.

Some might argue that having tops of equal size makes them easier
to deal with when harvested.

Interesting.

^Controlling auxin production is easier to do than moving/rotating anyday, IMO.

But won't lie by saying I haven't thought up some ridiculous hazy-susan ideas using casters and square plywood..

I had to lift my light tonight, ..I think it was burning some of my buds, they were starting to turn yellow..

Some are getting too tall too, I may try some clones tonight...moved everyone tonight too

should I be removing lower leaves from some of the plants? anyone have any suggestions?

That is a heavily loaded question Who...there are strong feelings on both sides.

I lean toward taking growth, but leaving fan leaves.

I will take off lower branches, but will leave the associated fan leaves.

I am far too new to be your guide on this, but wanted to head off any raging debate.

Psil, maybe u should coat the paint with some spray laquer or something?

I would be worried and by the time it hits the filter it would have already went past the plants...

Yeah i am some what concerned about and i was thinking about spraying some clear coat on it, but i just dusted it with my shop vac last night and its pretty powerfull, i also sat it on top of my air conditioning unit out side and let it go at it for a while, i dont think that my ventilation could suck air as fast as ether of those things can push it so im thinking i should be good unless i were to take a sander to it im pretty sure anything that could be knocked off by air flow has already been knocked off.

Well i finnaly got my scope and after quite a bit of searching i found some drivers I'm not sure if these are the correct drivers for this scope though, they say they are for an 800x mine is only a 200x but it seems to working fine for the moment and the scopes look to be from the same company, I'm still getting used to using it but it seems pretty decent so far not to bad for 20 something dollars but I'm not sure about the image quality vs the hand held mini scope i had before, don't get me wrong the picture is great and its a hell of a lot better than trying to look threw that fucking peep hole on the hand held but zooming and getting good shots seems to be some what difficult, again though I'm still get used to it...

I took some pics of one of my harvested buku buds, they are a bit hazy but the live image i get is a lot clearer i think it has something to do with the resolution change that's making them look a bit fuzzy, i cant wait till my lights come on so i can check my veneno im on day 61 of 55/65.

Nice I have used the eye piece for Photo's too, sucks...

The software should work fine, it should contain the correct files for the 200...Looks like it
s working to me.

Just thinking out loud here, but if that is air intake, then it will be constantly drawing air for ventilation, it's possible it could draw in lead for a long time...Just saying..That's why lead paint is illegal in most houses as it leaches lead for a long time...

I am hardly an expert on doneness....but I get the impression
of a lot of clear trichs, and no ambers that I could spot, in those
photos.

Beautiful buds in any case.

I got that breed as a freebie recently, so this is good news. ;0)

It has been a rather hectic 4 days, I'm glad to be back home....mission accomplished, the earth shall continue as we know it.

The plant I believed was male has not changed that much....a few male looking pods were starting just before I left but did not matured much.... I'm 99% sure it's a male, clearly it has no female traits. (sorry no pics, camera battery is dead)

I think I'll kill it soon, as I shall be bringing home my female tomorrow....just hope my buddy kept her reasonably healthy...fingers crossed

You are right those buds were harvested about 5-7 days premature because i was sick of being weedless, its still a knock out stone though i cant imagine what it would be like if i had let her finish, i am currently fighting the urge to harvest this veneno I'm on day 62/65 and have very very few amber trichromes almost all the rest look to be cloudy though, and still not one amber pistil in sight, i am trying not to be impatient but i really want to get to work on converting this flowering room into a veg/flowering room...

Crap, oh dammed thy stupid ass. Came home last night just before "lights-on" and opened the tent to snap a shot or two without the LED's on...there laid my beautifull Blimburn Mango on it's side, bucket upright. Just the day before I'm moving colas around looking at trich's and they were all swinging right back into position. I'm thinking "sturdy plant". Well, two days into flush with straight water (no carbs this time), her buds got so heavy she just keeled over. I've grown bigger buds in my life but I didn't realize how solid and heavy these buggers were till I had to pick them up off the floor. So I go to move the Crazy miss Hyde out of the way some and snapped a major cola off cause it was tied with camouflage green wire. Jeez Louweeze...

yeah i've been contemplating making mini hempy cages with my welder, to fit in perfect. any suggestions?
I was thinking about a cage above that i tie strings down from but i dont really wanna do that

but hey too much bud weight isn't something to complain about, i wish i had that problem ! lol

ran across that product spinout, how do you guys feel about that stuff? I hear it works and isn't bad for you, but just am not sure...
I find my roots always are spinning around the sides and this product uses copper ions that dont allow roots to grow within 1/4" of it. this ends up root pruning it and making a really healthy root mass
