Plan well - The 17 grand will be swallowed up fast. When you grow at this level there isn't any room for screw ups or you could be out a lot of cash in no time at all.

Make plans for the long run. Don't end up having to expand unless it's a planned expansion. I've hade to expand 5 times in the past 15 years...

All grows from me are taken to at least 40% amber. Growing Northern Lights and Aphgani that have fast flowering times helps me because I take them over 100 days - whatever it takes to get them to amber land.

Limit your strains to ones that will finish in the same period of time.

Have fun, but keep in mind this is like running a marathon - It's a long way to the finish line of actually sparking up a joint.

go big on the ac, dehumidifier, fire control, light controller, t5 in veg 1k hps/mh in flower
insulate very well all the way around. If you see steel on your barn ceiling you'll see rain indoors depending on weather
consider sealed and vented issues, c02, power generator.

are you going to light the whole floor footprint? what is the floor made of? consider dirty work area, storage, etc.

Don't tell anyone ....at all ..EVER!!!

Also,,are you an experienced grower?

I ask because your asking this question and that could mean your new to the growing thing......no big deal if you are ....but if you don't have many successful runs under your belt already .....I suggest you take a fraction of that money and get familiar with what your doing before you dive in head first .......money doesn't mean anything if you don't know the plant in the first place ......even if you are new and need to start with something small like a tent to learn ...it's not a waste buying it ....you could always use it for babies etc etc later on .....GL

my first tenting year remains my funnest growing year of all.
my pro rooms have became a chore. I leave my old secret jardins
in the rafters over the garden door to remind me how much fun it is before I enter every day.
