Wooden Pallets in combination with fencing for Outdoor Grow

I have 19 babies currently in Solo cups that I plan on transplanting into 1/2 gallon fabric pots next week and intimately to an outdoor stealth grow. The plot is approx 10X15 feet and I fenced it with four ft high turkey wire I installed last fall.

So I go out to visit my plot yesterday and I see that at least 1 deer has already jumped the fence. Since it is in the middle of brambles on three sides, I want to get two regular wooden pallets and place them in front of the fence on the "open" side. Note: I have many deer in the yard including a three legged one.

I heard that deer don't like walking on pallets and I'm hoping that this will prevent them from jumping the fence. Has anyone else used this approach? Does it sound reasonable??

Here are my babies that popped on April 5th and a pix of the fabric BTW, My beans are

Bomb THC Bomb Feminized

Barneys Liberty Haze Feminized

Barneys Pineapple Chunk Feminized

Barneys L.S.D Feminized

Akorn Aka Snowbud freebies

The pallet idea sounds interesting, sort of like cattle guards used on ranches. Could definitely work! Good luck on your grow! I have grown sage n sour in the past and it turned out to be a VERY strong sativa, I have a Akorn aka snowbud in bloom at the moment as well and it is BY FAR the frostiest strain I have grown to date!

Thx for the comments and feedback. My setup is in the workroom of my basement in a closet. Seems to be working pretty good. Her's some pix

Holy Grail, let's compare notes as we progress. Are you planning on transplanting outdoors? Is so what latitude?

Got it as a freebie from Herbies but here a write up and quote from Leafly.com
"THSeeds crossed their legendary S.A.G.E. strain with an equally powerful Sour Diesel to create Sage N Sour. Sage N Sour has well-balanced flavor and great high strength" Hoping it lives up to it's hype.

"Exceptional
I give this strain a 10/10. I got a quarter ounce of this stuff from my dude for $50. Man it was so good! The buds were dense as fuck and all the joints I rolled required to be relit multiple times, but it was worth it. What it did for me was get me stupid stoned for 10-15 minutes, like really intensely baked. Then it kinda levels off into a lower more manageable level, but this stuff made me stay feeling high for hour after hour. (I would smoke half a J and be good for at least 3 hrs). Smelled diesely. Highly recommended. Just don't do too much your first time because you will probably freak out for the first 20 mins haha"

I forgot to list two other beans in the Mix, TH Seeds Dark star, another freebie

Highlights
Dark Star’s true indica effects are as spacey as its name suggests: a deep, relaxed sensation throughout the body accompanied by a heavy cerebral calm. Though celestial in its effects, the strain is more likely homage to the Grateful Dead’s song “Dark Star.” A cross between Purple Kush and Mazar-I-Sharif, Dark Star is a CBD-rich indica ideal for treating pain and anxiety. This dark--almost bluish--strain was first bred indoors by TH Seeds, and comes as a challenge to many growers with its slow, 10-week flowering period. Its sour-smelling buds are dense and compact, ornamented with crystals and copper hairs.

My advice for people who want to grow outside in a populated area would be to get a metal utility shed from a lumber yard etc. My freind has one that is 8'x10'x6'-7'h as it is gabled. Select one that is already white on the inside. At your latitude the morning and afternoon sun will be cut off making the direct light cycle somewhat close to budding. If further tweeking is required I'd start with a three inch mesh net for the roof etc. When you have the correct mesh for your lattitude you'll be able to get a good crop there every year.
