Wondering what a reliable humidifier would be for my small CGE closet grow?

Hello all,

I plan on running one plant in a small dr40 tent in my closet. The closet will be sealed with weather stripping and the bottom stuffed. I do not want high humidity to mold my plants or kill my carbon filters. Could i get away with a few buckets of damp rid or those rechargeable mini dehumidifiers by eva-dry? Or am i gonna need a legit like 50 pint unit. I don't know how much water to expect and i dont want a high heat unit if i can help it as i have no AC for this closet. Thanks!

maybe over a 3 day period, and your probably going to open the door a few times a day to check on it.
i would put a hygrometer in there just to keep an eye on it but i dont think you will have that problem with one plant

how big is your tent?

Hello Friends,

Getting out of a lease agreement can be tricky, but if you feel like you have no other choice, start by reading your lease very carefully. Ideally, you should have read through your lease before signing it in the first place, so you should be at least roughly familiar with the section of the lease which details giving notice and moving out. In the worst case scenario, you may be responsible for your rent through the end of the lease whether or not you live in your house; however, you may be able to get out of a lease agreement without paying through the nose, especially if you do it carefully. If you are trying to get out of a lease, you should definitely contact a local tenant's rights organization or a lawyer to help you out, as these professionals are familiar with all of the ways to legally get out of a lease agreement.

Thanks and Regards,
William Hayden
Wtf does this have to do with a humidifier?

i dont think you'll it... would it even fit in the tent?
If it's 16"x16" I would say there's not enough space for a humidifier if you also want ur plant to be there. And why would you have such a small "tent" there's not even room enough for a plant is there?

Haha sorry guys I didn't fully explain. The closet is going to be the environment. I'm gonna pump it full of co2 and have a scrubber in there. The tent is to provide an environment for the plant to grow but if I were to add a dehumidifier it'd be in the closet somewhere to prevent moisture build up throughout my closet and through that the tent.

1 plant. Closet is about 3' x 2.5' x 10' tall. And I'm starting small. Its an apartment. Yes I was going to raise co2 levels in the whole closet to 1500 ppm which will last a very long time for one little plant. Its my first grow guys I want to do it right. I'm going to run a DIY 60-70w led panel and I was going to use a 5 gallon hydro bucket. C99 starting from seed. Scrog'd. With a s&p 100x set on low (100cfm) pushing through a 4x12 phresh filter to circulate and filter air. Might run a separate scrubber in addition in the closet if I need more odor control.

I'd skip the CO2 until you get everything else dialed in, vent in fresh air from the room, and exhaust clean air with your carbon filter\fan. Besides to make effective use of the CO2 you will need more light and temps above 80. Probably won't need a dehumidifier unless your area is perpetually high humidity. Even then a small powered one running part time should do the job.

I could always supplement light with cfls. Its just that I work. So ill be gone for 8 hours at a time at least and I don't want the closet open when im not there. Think that a closet full of air can have enough co2 to last my plant 8-9 hours at a time in flower? Thanks

wait on the co2 and can get expensive and everything has to be dialed in fir it to work right

yes your plant will have enough co2 in the closet

Alright then.. fingers crossed. I suppose I could always through a sugar/yeast mix together too, just to be safe.

yes what Twitch said, don't even think about the CO2 for just a few plants. If you are really concerned you could run the day cycle at night when your at home. Then you get to observe them when your at home, and turn everything down for night cycle while your at work.

true kinda slipped my mind that they stop using co2 while lights are off... alright cool. Im still probably getting a dehumidifier though. Just in case. Found a 50 pint unit for $80 made by frigideaire on craigslist.

If you want to do it it right, atleast get some proper light.
