OK so my virtual garden is having some problems with lower/older leaves yellowing and looking down right decrepid

The Scoop:

soil pH 6.5 digital reader
NPK 10-15-10
light 4 cfl 2x6000k 2x2700k
feed every 2-3 days nutes/ distilled water/ mole asses
5 gallon pots

majority of my lower mature leaves fall of and looks like that I usually notice when I raise my lights higher and it not able to penetrate to the bottom of the babies..

Leaves that receive no light at all will often be consumed by the plant to fuel more nicely situated growth in an indoor grow, even despite proper nutrition. Use it or lose it, this applies to plants too. Maybe this is what is happening to your plants.

In fact now that I read that the rest of the plant looks perfectly fine, I'm almost positive that this is what is happening to your plants. Don't fret. :)

There dying off because your cfls don't penetrate far enough into the canopy, just like stated above it's nothing to worry about. Just add a few bulbs down lower as the plant expands.
