winter greenhouse

anybody have experience doing a greenhouse in march april if so did you have to tarp or did it flower by itself

Nobody done a late winter g-house ???? Fuck it ill try one in a couple months ,ill route my heat from tubes right to the g-house raised floor on skids with insulation under them ,air tight for heat loss and maybe a propane heater kill2 cops with one stone,if the sun isnt 12/12 ill tarp,ill post when the time comes

i have done what you speak of in the mountains in NY.....

my advice is dont try to battle mother nature when it comes to winter...

It was very difficult to start plants, or even bring a constant temp in the greenhouse. If you were able to keep a consistent temp of 78 deg or so then you would do just fine.

My green house was not air tight so as soon as there was a big winter breeze it would blow all the hot air out of the grow space. I was using a butene heater, so it got up to 80 deg in the greenhouse at certain points but i couldnt keep it like that with the equiptment i brought.

if you could actually keep the temperature constant during the day and night i would be amazed. I have heard of people doing what our talking about but they used wood burning stoves inside the greenhouse with a chimney...
