I have window ac and I want to no do I have to vent them outside can I vent them in to a spare room instead ??

90 on the heat 50 on the humidity it's going good cause of good dose of co2 but I want to bring out more purple in plants so I need it much cooler

The front of the windows unit has to be in one area while the back or exhaust needs o be in a nother area or vented out of the same room. You will get alot of water condensation out the back so make sure you have a way to catch the water

Windows ac lets out hot air so you really wont go anywhere if they are in same grow room unless the window is inside your grow room and the exhaust is outside the room then it would work but if ur window ac is somewhere else you can customize out some flexible ducting and lead it into your room !

the back of the unit shouldn't be inside of any room. the unit will eventually heat the air in that room to the point that it can't efficiently cool the refrigerant in the coils. they are meant to be hung outside or somewhere you can at least exhaust the air. i saw a thread here once where some guy had the back of a window a/c in a separate room but then had extraction fans in that room exhausting the hot air. depends on what your setup is but you really should exhaust it outside. if it's cold where you are then you will have to worry about low temps and the compressor and condenser.

If you can keep the extra room at a reasonable temp it will work fine. Window shakers are designed to work efficiently at 90 degrees. They will work well into the hundreds but not well. I exhaust 2 units into a large room. In the winter it is xtra heat for the room. In the summer it's a bitch and is quite expensive to manage.

Yea the way the way my room is set up I have rooms around my flower room so I am going to cut holes in the wall and put in ac the rooms have windows so I can vent to a point is the fumes from ac going to be harmful

Why not just put in a ductless minisplit?

what do you mean vent your ac into a spare room? the AC will not suck up any of the smell so just put it in a window if you can thats the best option. if your talking about just using the AC indoors without a window why not just get a dual duct portable AC. if any of the smell leaks through you can put a fan/filter on the exhaust duct to help out if you vent to the attic or another room but i would suggest it goes somewhere that hot air doesnt matter either outside or the attic.

Window AC units are cheap and plentiful. I like them for that one simple reason. I like things I can buy at lowes and home depot right off the shelf.

Window units need to be put in window no doubt about it... You can however vent into a spare bedroom with a portable ac and if any smell escapes just put a carbon filter in that room so it doesn't smell anywhere else. Other then these two options I see no other way unless you do something that's risking a fire or something else that's stupid. Either do it right, or don't do it at all.

I have used the in room ac a lot they just don't seem to work like the window ac u get a lot more btu with the window ones do any one know where the good ac are at the real good in room ones I see be like$2000-6000 but they have same btus as the cheep ones I don't no ac stuff drive me crazy hate new set ups any info on ac will help the cooler the better smell not a problem
