Window AC for Tent?

Anyone have experience using a window AC unit to cool a closed system (for CO2) tent as small as 4x4 or 4x3ft? I recently tried to use a portable unit but its either cycling on/off too quickly (creating crazy spikes in temp/humidity) or its just too cold. I'd love to be able to run this tent closed so I don't waste co2 but its looking like thats my only option..

Lots of hastle running co2 in a tent that small. I would tend to only do it for a whole room for a 3mx3m tent.

That said... I have a mini av unit that cools 2 of my tents. It's an ecoair crystal. The ac sits in the larger tent and the fan pulls the cooler air into the second tent. The hot air tube goes out the larger tent and through a wall.

I run CO2 in my 5x9 gorilla tent and AC is always an issue as it breaks the seal. I generally just turn the AC off unless temps get over 86-88; at that point I'm willing to waste some CO2 to cool the tent. Higher temps are desired while running CO2 with LEDs anyways.

I didn't think window ac units used outside air. Thought they recirculated inside air. Am i wrong?

They do leak a little, some have a fresh air vent port that can be closed off but it still leaks a bit. People have opened them up and sealed the leaky bits.

Portable AC units will intake air at the base of the unit. They then exhaust cold air at the top vent, but what people forget is they produce an equal amount of hot air (products of the cooling process) out a back vent which generally connects to a window. If you do not vent the exhaust out the window, you’re basically wasting time and energy. This is a problem while supplementing with CO2 because your CO2 will also be exhausted away with the hot air

He not talking about a portable, rather a window shaker.

I see, you were talking about a portable unit. I thought you meant a window ac.
