I'm trying to get high but I don't have any bud at the moment. What I do have is a glass pipe caked w/ resin. If I put it in a glass cup of water, microwave until resin leaks out, scoop it out and let it dry, shouldn't I be able to smoke it? I know it's res and a lot of you absolutely hate the taste, but the taste of bud/resin has never been something I even paid attention to.

A lot of people save/smoke their resin. Yes you can get high. It's easier to use Alcohol to dissolve the resin and then evaporate the alcohol. That said it is kinda nasty, But to answer your question. Yes.

If it's just water, the goodies should actually be concentrated. What I don't know is if hot water is hot enough to melt the resin. I would have pressed solvents into service. cn

No microwave, it'll ruin your pipe. You can however use hot water to clean out your glass pipe, by boiling it. You'll need salad tongs or something to lift the pipe out of the boiling water, which "rinses" it. Do this often and change the water often, but save it if there's a significant amount of resin. Use a funnel and coffee filters to collect the resin. Your pipe won't be 100% clean, but pretty damn close. After you pipe is cleaned to your liking let the resin dry on the coffee filter(s) preferably overnight, but a few hours will do. Put the resin into a smoking device and enjoy

OH, and if you light the alcohol/resin mix on fire, the alcohol will burn off and you'll have your crusty goo. scrap off the plate. And no, it wont ruin the plate if your worried about the wife kicking your ass for using her plates.
