I had a pretty decent flowering box for one plant thats worked a few times but for some reason this plant got a little to tall so i had to move it. I set it up in my basement it has a 150 watt hps and some mixed up fluoros on the sides of it. it just has a box fan on it and a space heater to keep the room at about 70 degrees. is there any flaws or anything else i should do? its about a week into flowering its on 12/12 now.:joint:

Move those 4' fluoros closer, and put one on each side of the plant. Raise the CFLs up some too, more towards the middle of the plant(they help but they do don't a whole lot, down that low). If isn't isn't too much problem, bump the temp up a couple degrees, like 73-75*, but it's not a huge issue because 70* is okay(but towards the lower limits). I was going to recommend some mylar, but there aren't many options for hanging it, unless you box it in.lol

bring the hps down a bit

Crap, I forgot to mention that. Yeah, like he said....bring that HPS down, alot. It should be at 12" or closer, as long as you have a decent fan blowing across the top of the plant. Bringing the HPS down, is the single biggest improvement you can make. :)

Good evening Agent, I would agree, you seem to have lighting issues. The 150 HPS is very minimal, and the assorted flouro's need better placement for more efficient light spread. I would start training all of the top branching sideways.
This will maximize your yield. If you have any D.I.Y. skills, build a cfl fixture in a circular arrangement to hold 6/8 of the 42 watt cfl bulbs. Any ?, i'm here. Good luck & good grow.......BB

i didnt think light would be a problem i do have some mylar but asll i could really do is put it on the walls. i usually flower in a box but this one got to tall so the top of the plant got a little burnt thats why it was up so high and the light is just about exactly a foot away from the plant now its been there for about a week and looks like its flowering good. last time i flowered the same strain in about a 4ft box and yeilded about 44gs of some great smoke its supposed to be northern lights but im not sure. and all it had was that 150 watt hps above it. not it has all the fluoros and i can put plenty more of those around it. its in a small hempy bucket btw i tryed soil before just giving this a try. all the fluoros are just about touching the plant now i just thought id put them in there because its so cold in the basement might help keep the plant warmer. and its hard to keep the room much above 70 i got this little space heater all the way cranked up and it stays at about 70 gets a little warmer when the hps is running.

That's a tall plant dude for the light you are using. I think you may have some issues with the lower part of your plant not getting enough light so you will have a small harvest of probably pretty fluffy buds. Save up and upgrade your lighting and also I suggest getting a tent if you don't have a room you can dedicate. They help keep bads things out (bugs, pests) and good stuff in (more light on the plants via reflection in the tent). Good luck..

thanks pimpin. but i thought rule of thumb was 100 watts per plant? and iit has 150 hps and about 200 fluoro. i already know its gonna yeild more than last time which im completely cool with more than 44gs. yeah ill probably just try to keep adding more light to the bottom of the plantt just too try and increase yeild. its been growing good tho staying real green except for where it got burnt on the top. i do have a 400 watt ballast from a friend with a 250 watt in it that comes on but it turns off about every 10 minutes idk what it is probably just a bad bulb i think. but next grow i plant on hookin up this room a little nicer 4 plants instead of 1 (same strain from clone) then maybe get a 600 watt or a 400 to add to my 150 idk we'll see. i like the hempy bucket i think thats why this plant grew so much more is because of more root room in the bucket anyone know if that could be true?
