i was told it is used for drying gym floors

Use an inline fan and you need to intake and outtake ports. If the grow room is a closet that may mean punching a few 6" holes in the wall, or ceiling and running a ducting to an exit somewhere. You can use the width x lenght x height in feet of your grow room to find cubic square footage and match that to your fans. You want a fan that can exchange all the air in the grow room in 5 minutes or less.

My room is only 4 x3 x 5 = 60 cubic feet. I use a 250 cfm fan 250/60=4.16 so I can exchange all the air in my room 4 times a minute. For me this isnt enough as I dont have it properly exsuasting out a window or w/e and have no proper intake set up so my room is still hitting 95 with a 600 watt HPS. I need to punch an intake hole, and add an inline fan blowing in and exsuast to a window and I should be fine.

its too much, thats a big big fan.. really... And you will mind the sound, its not one single bit quiet, you could hear it running out side if it was in a house..
Thats something they would fill up bouncy castles with etc...

fine if you want to blow over you plants at a 45degree angle LOL!

I have a box fan and a 10 in fan and plants are blown to hell I wish I could have an intake/exhaust setup but im in a apartment. You can hear the fans from the hallway o well.
good luck

that fan is TOO big.
dont waste your money.
i know its cheap, but you will end up getting something else AFTER wasting money on that, or you might just pay for it, not use it and regret it later.

way too much airflow. also uses more electricty then a properly sized fand would. there are multiple reasons not to use that fan.
