Will This Soil Work Good?

I am trying to find a good soil that I can use for my plants.

I found a mix called Premier Pro-Mix, Potting and Seeding Mix and it features:

High quality, lightweight components give it good water retention and excellent drainage

Multi-purpose growing mix for seed starting, planting and transplanting into indoor and outdoor containers

Contains Canadian sphagnum peat moss, coarse perlite, vermiculite, macro and micronutrients, limestone (for PH adjustment) and wetting agent

Keep Pro-mix moist for first several weeks after transplanting
During growth, plants will need nutrients in the form of fertilizer (2-3 weeks after transplanting)

85 L bag

Will this ProMix work well? http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/2/OutdoorLiving/FertilizersGrassSeed/SoilsMixes/PRD~0594888P/Premier%2BPro-Mix%252C%2BPotting%2Band%2BSeeding%2BMix/CROSSSELL~0594884 Premier+Pro-Mix++Hanging+Basket-Planter+Mix.jsp?locale=en

I don't have your answer for you but would love to find out how it works because as it stands I drive almost 4 hours to the closest greenhosue supply to get the grow medium i currently use.

That soil should work fine. You will have to feed them regularly as there isn't any food in the mix but it sounds pretty good actually as far as oxygen to the roots and all. I prefer a lite mix such as this cuz then I am in control on a daily basis of what the plant gets. No worries about overwatering or at least less worries. I sure as heck would not drive 4 hrs. for soil. I would work with whatcha can get locally as I think any soil (within reason) will work if you pay attention to the plant and act accordingly.
