Will this simple setup work?

Ok,

I have a rubbermaid tub, I thought I could mount this light fixture/light bulb to the lid. Then run mylar around the sides. This will just to get my plants started before summer (Early June).

or I'll just hook up 3x 42 watt cfls...

I think now I'll just buy a normal flourescent light strip with two lights for like $30-40. Will the original light work?

Not I have a giant setup for my indoor plants that I am going to shut down for the summer and grow out door and I want to use a small energy efficent veg system. I'm no newbie just wondering...lmao

Yeah as long as they dont outgrow the box and please make sure to put plenty of holes for enough ventilation

Sorry ya I will have a intake fan blowing air in at ground level and a outake fan blowing air at at the roof of my rubber maid. So that light will work? I know the 3 cfls will but it says it's only 8 watts??? wth?

and by the way I dont know much about Flourescent lights I always use Hid assemblys MH OR HPS they mork way better but for the small space and the fact that you just want to get a head start on the summer than I think flourescent light will be better, Mainly because they wont get nearly as HOT,just not that Pussy first one

like i said i have no experience with any lights other than HID lights, the only good advice i could give you without being full of shit would be to get a 50 to 70 watts hps light. i understand thatll create heat problems but its only 50 to 70 watts and wont really be that big of a problem. Also you seem to have good experience and a good understanding on how to take care of them especially concerning the circulation needed for them. It may be a little extra work but as long as you keep the temperature at 85 degrees max (90 is pushin it) the benefits WELL outway any extra care involved.

thats excatly how i started mine and it worked just fine just make sure you have a fan in the box cause it gets real hot in the rubbermaid tubs even if your using fluorescent

HIDs will still me to hot, use CFLs you can have them very close to your plant with out burn, giving more space inside the box, plus they put of very little heat. I've personally seen CFLs do an excellent job early on.

I have been given tonz of venting tips so far, that is not what I am asking I am a very experenced grower (9 and almost 10 harvests under my belt). I was just wondering if that light would work, because I want to shut down my indoor "Factory"the summer and grow some nice outdoor sensimelia. but the second I posted I saw it was only 8 watts so I am now going to use 4 / 42 watt cfls... lol.
