alright guys just need a little bit of assurance. i was meant to start my for hydroponic grow a good few weeks back. but dew to work men. working on the house i wasn't able to set things up. now i started my seeds off it one inch rock-wool cubes and worked up to the 3 inch ones but roots started coming out of the bottoms. so to protect them from the lights ive sat the 3 inch cubes on top of 3 inch pots filled with soil. and on checking on them today they root bound. but the plants are a good 20 inches tall. the tents 6ft high. so ive bought a scrogg net. my question is if i do a scrogg grow in a NFT system is the root system going to catch up with the height of the plants. many thanks for any reply's bertie

Sounds like they are growing well, next time move them to hugo blocks and carry on.

Your roots "are caught up" if it is growing well (in hydro), in soil I let them spread out as far as they like.
