So it's your opinion even without Kennedy's act, mental asylums would've been dismantled anyway?

I don't see how that's possible. Before Kennedy Democrats were championing the benefits of asylums to care for those who couldn't care for themselves.

But public opinion changed after many movies and books like The Snake Pit and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Which showed their shitty life, but provided no solution.

I too liked the sentiment. But reality's a bitch.

Just like I love the sentiment of socialism. But how do we support such a thing? If we can't even support our most vulnerable, the mentally ill? Especially with liberals wanting to let anyone in, and then they leave. If we allow that, how do we give to both temporary residents to America, and the ones who do work? What gives a person motivation?

I'd personally love such a system, and would work twice as hard knowing what I was doing was going towards others, rather than to droning, or lining the pockets of greedy pharmaceutical companies. But how do you get rid of free loaders? That's the reason I worked so hard to be my own boss, because I ended up doing most the work in group projects. The free loaders because they were more personable, could convince the boss I was the one not doing shit.

As your own boss, it doesn't matter how much of an asshole you are, or if people like you.

Anyway. Just like this stupid thread. If we can't even get along with one of our own states, and the party of Bernie Sanders like Skyler says is true, how can we achieve this socialist utopia? Because I'm being serious I'd like it too. I just don't see where the road that leads to such a dream is located.

Why should socialism pay for signage?

No one likes you. Why?

Likableness isn't a reliable measure.

Hitler was Time's man of the year.

While Thomas Edison and Henry Ford were widly vilified. But where would we be without them?

Many celebrities have horrible personalities that if we based movies on if we'd like the actor, no one would have many movies to watch.

You are totally making sense here, but honestly shouldn't we pay reparations to the Chinese and Irish who built our railroads? They are always going to feel victimised until we buy them a Bugatti,we should also desecrate all of our forefathers graves and denounce their cruelty, lash ourselves on our backs and curse our whiteness because it is evil. And we need to fix up the African Americans, the Latinos, Italians repeating this process over and over until we are washed clean. Then and only they be empowered and wont feel victimised by our evil ways and in turn we will realize what horrible evil people we really are. #the pain is real.

You're the one who said I have this war. Just because I don't agree with you and your antifa thugs, it must mean I'm for who you're against. Wrong. I think you're both racist idiots who need to let it go and come together in a united goal to better both your plights.

This is how:

Mondragon co-operatives are united by a humanist concept of business, a philosophy of participation and solidarity, and a shared business culture. The culture is rooted in a shared mission and a number of principles, corporate values and business policies.

This philosophy is complemented by four corporate values: Co-operation, acting as owners and protagonists; Participation, which takes shape as a commitment to management; Social Responsibility, by means of the distribution of wealth based on solidarity; and Innovation, focusing on constant renewal in all areas.[21]

Anti-discrimination
To discriminate socially is to make a distinction between people on the basis of class or category. Examples of social discrimination include racial, religious, sexual, sexual orientation, disability, and ethnic discrimination.

The fifth of the Rochdale Principles states that co-operative societies must provide education and training to their members and the public.
Which candidates contesting elections this fall endorse your ideas and what are their policies?

That war you keep talking about. The one where stuff is just taken away from white people. Please explain how affirmative action, equal funding for schools and enforcing civil rights laws triggers the war that ends up with white people having their stuff taken away?

OK, so you were quoting an untried and made up philosophy as if it were a solution.

I thought so but thanks for confirming you weren't forming a solution or any suggestion based upon reality.
Why you against Asians and women? I for one am curious about who these 10 giant chaos are. Plus she sings nice.

The other 33 candidates are completely nutty and without any basis in reality,

The problem is grouping too many beliefs into one candidate, who even if you agree with one to a few stances, those other stances most likely go against many of your core values. A solution to that needs to happen, and is the only clue I'm giving.

Didn't watch the video.

I asked which candidates follow your Mondaragon cooperative philosophy. You posed it as an alternative to collective bargaining through unions so it must be used somewhere.

Tell me about this Mondragon cooperative philosophy. Which society ever has been successful using it?

Are you and Rob Roy just whacking off about untried and imaginary ideas that will never happen but it gets you hot?

Are you in California? I'm not so I'm not really interested in their line-up. Jerry Brown is pretty good.

I'm happy about my representatives in Congress. DeFazio, Wyden and Merkely are pretty good by my lights. Are they nuts?

Unlike Rob's unproven philosophy, mine is proven and still improving. Why not give it a chance? It's not my fault such a party doesn't exist in America. Until it does, I'm not supporting something which doesn't. Because that lets the establishment know I don't really care, and I'm willing to compromise. I won't let them get that impression.

Where is it proven? What region, area, industry, society or backwoods village can you point to as an example of where it is recognized, used and succeeding? I'd like to know.

You seem to be less informed than Roy about your philosophy and imaginary society. You jump all over the place.

No, we can't bet our society on a fantasy philosophy. The history of philosophy is mostly filled with ideas that went nowhere for good reason.

MONDRAGON started in 1956 Basque Spain. It's the largest worker cooperative in the world with 80,818 employees nationally and over 13,500 abroad.

The MONDRAGON cooperative model encourages people’s participation and involvement with company management, as well as profit sharing and company ownership. The focus on people, cooperation and inter-cooperative solidarity is captured in the group’s slogan, ‘Humanity at work’.

Environmental awareness and the need for wise resource management have turned energy into both a priority and an opportunity.

MONDRAGON offers a wide variety of training and consulting options for personal development, talent activation, or the acquisition of managerial and entrepreneurial skills.

We take measures to create a safe, quality working environment. Preventive health monitoring and constant attention to workplace safety are our main guarantees for providing our workers with a safe, quality environment. This fact is ratified by the workplace accident rates of the MONDRAGON cooperatives.

We use a wage solidarity system; we apply a fairer, more equitable wage scale.
To avoid differences between cooperatives, the wage level should be between 90% and 110% of the corporate reference and the workers are paid an amount in line with that of salaried workers from their sectoral and geographical environment.

MONDRAGON conforms to the principles of anti-discrimination. To discriminate socially is to make a distinction between people on the basis of class or category. Examples of social discrimination include racial, religious, sexual, sexual orientation, disability, and ethnic discrimination. To fulfil the first Rochdale Principle, a Co-operative society should not prevent anyone willing to participate from doing so on any of these grounds.
