will taking clones cause your plant to hermie?

Alright guys im thinking of buying some expensive seeds for my next grow and i was wondering if i take clones from a plant in vegetation will this cause the plant to hermie due to stress? is there a limit to how many clones i should take from 1 plant? Im a newb so will someone explain how it works please?

Basically i want to be able to take clones from my plants and make sure im still going to be able to harvest them...

Clone only in vegitive state. Clean up all the underbranches, and clone them, try not to remove fan leaves. These doner plants may be male or female, clone it anyway. You wont know until bloom, or, just before bloom depending on how active it is creating pre- flowers. You might wan't to wait untill you have viable roots before you move to bloom stage. Once bloom starts you will not produce the same quality clone. It's possible, but requires a lot more attention to the process, trimming away pre flowers in the nodes etc. My best advice to anyone tring to learn to grow is this. Invest $25.00 on line,high times has adds on line for it. GET greg greens "The Cannibis grow bible". This will take ALL the guess work out of "am I doing this right". I recomend this book to anyone experienced and not, I gaurantee all growers will find usefull knowledge in this book. Get that run another batch of bag seed following the steps outlinend definitively in this book. You will do awsome. You may say" Ah, the helll with expensive seed" !

As to hermies from cloning, the simple answer is that if the mother hermies as a result of taking clones, the ditch the clones and ditch the mother, they're no good for you, get shopping and try and find a stable set of genetics. A real cannabis plant will take a beating from hercules himself and just keep going just as she was.

ill be honest ...when it comes to this grow shit its different strokes 4 different folks...i took 30 seeds from a nice street bought pound...3 died after sprouting, 10 where males...i use 3 four foot shop lights with 3 40 watt cool whites and 3 40 watt aquarium lights (flourescent)....also i added 4 cfls for side lighting two 200 watts one 150 watts and one 300 watts..my 17 females are now 3 to 4 feet tall and bushy...they are 8 days into flowering 5 and 6 weeks old...everything miracale grow!!! no spots no problems..im cloning this weekend for my first time ever!!!! im taking 17 clones from my tallest one and going from there fuck it!!! some people say miracle gro is a no no!!! but shiiiiiiit!!! its working for me!!! but like nice old bud said this shit is free online!! do what you feel bruh!!!

They have this fancy, new fangled thing on Roll it Up...It's called The "SEARCH" bar. I understand you asking a question in the Newbie Central...but a few words in search would of given you the answers you need. Most grows are unique in what they do, how they grow, stress points particular to that strain, yields, length of the grow, ect, etc. My point being, your strain may have hermie issues from stress. My grow mentor said to me " You gotta kill a few plants before you get it right". And also, "It's fucking weed, and it's gonna grow just fine." In the Newbie section, there is a sticky called "BEFORE YOU POST". It goes over MOST of a newbies questions. Including taking clones. Start there friend. If you can't find the answer, THAN, start a thread and ask for help. To many noobs are lazy and want the answer handed to them on a silver platter. Hence, the SAME questions asked over and over and over.....Put the same effort in searching as you do in your care and growing of your plants. Peace.
