Will seeds still germinate if they are 15- 40 years old?

I find it funny that people continually post ways how to germ a bean. This dude has seeds from 40 years ago, long before you was a nub in ya daddys ball bag...Im sure he knows how to germinate a seed, lol

Most really hadn't herd about using Rapid Start. Hell I had NO clue & didn't until I got a small bottle in a (performance pack) of nutrients of General Hydroponics.. Stuff really does work! ;)

Haha! That's what I do bro. ;) I breed/cross strains all the time. Yup. Hubba Bubba Bomb is from the late 70's, and a few other are around that time frame & in the 80's. I would say atleast 32 of these where just my Dads strains alone. The other half I breed myself. I am working on a cross now. Doing a Ice x Blueberry x WW. Going to name it "Iced Bluberry". Or Blueberry Ice. Hadn't made my mind up really.. lol
What about blueberry(bb) ice (ice) cream(ww)? Or blinged-out blueberry. Its hard coming up with names when there's 3 in there. Like "Neville's ghost train haze" lol. Would love to know its genetics, loved that shit.

I don't know if he posted here since the first page, honestly didn't check.

The title stuck out and I just wanted to type this.

it is most likely the seeds will germinate if they were left undamaged and not molded by then.

There has been a number of accounts of seeds being discovered from ancient times, were talking thousands of years old.
These seeds were replanted and have since brought back to life extinct plants.

Obviously this doesn't always to apply to every seed/plant, but just food for the mind.
