Will my winter outdoor grow concept work ?

Hi guys,

Was wondering if this theory would work just going to run it buy you. Its going to be my first grow and its going to be outside, nothing major just five plants. I know I wont get the best quality but i'm not able to commit to much to them so I literally want to plant them and then let nature run its course.

I'll be using Easy Kush because I've heard its a lone ranger, you don't have to pay too much attention to it.
As I'm not in the best of circumstances to be growing indoors, i'm planning on burying a plastic clear box in the ground with a 12v battery and a power inverter and line the box with bubble wrap and foil over it. The lid will be clear and left clear on the surface so the sun can still do its magic. Power inverter will be connected to a small fan heater with a thermo stat.

What do you recon ?

Bear in mind this is my first grow outdoors, if you think this concept is crap then please suggest one, bearing in mind i cant use the mains as a heat and light supply.

You will need to add lights to keep them from going into flower unless that's what you want. You can always get a timer for the lights, dump the heaters and just have lights come on 4 hours after it gets dark til sunup then lights off and plant gets sunlight til dark, 4 hours of darkness and timer kicks in and turns lights on for the night, this will keep them vegging and warm at the same time. when you want them to start flowering just turn off the llights and let mother nature do the rest.

Yeah 420mon is 100% right you cant start this late in the year your suppose to start growing outside in april. Just get the lights over them for 4-6 hours after the sun goes down so it mimmics a long day then after 3-4 weeks (longer if you want) of that turn the lights off and the short hour day will start making the cannabis flower. Technically speaking you can grow all year long if you just veg with some lights indoors then plop them outside to flower that is of course if your region doesnt get too cold but I live in san diego so it only gets to like 45 f/c so it evens out just fine.
