Will miracle gro be too strong with my nutes?

I don't fully agree with this. Remember, marijuana is a somewhat sensitive plant. I wouldn't use any nutrients until the plant is a few inches tall; then, you can add very light miracle grow. I did my very first 2 grows with miracle grow and it actually didn't do too bad. Remember, less is more. It's better to not give anything than to nutrient burn it, especially as a seedling.

ya if you have the fox farm trio go get some FF ocean forest soil. you wont need nutes till like week 3 as it has lots of the nutes your babies need. I would recomend you start with half strength big bloom at week 2 then at the end of week 3 use half strength grow big and normal big bloom. every other watering till you flip then you will be usin the tiger bloom and big bloom along with FF solubels but i dont think you have those. hope it helps another good soil is roots organic soil in a big camo bag great stuff.

ok im tossin the miracle gro, headin to home depot thanks for the knowledge. i dont think i can afford expensive organic soil rite now tho.

If you're going to disagree with me, at least give a valid reason. Saying "LOL miracle grow=bad." doesn't really prove anything, it just makes you look argumentative and takes away from your credibility.

It's derived from most of the same stuff that every other fertilizer is: Potassium sulfate, urea, urea phosphate, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium chloride, and more (varies based on type, obviously). The numbers aren't specifically designed for cannabis strains (usually too strong, like 24-8-16 for veg, 15-30-15 for flowering) like a lot of top nutrient provider are (like AN, GH, HCO, etc), but they all use most of the same stuff. If Miracle grow sucked so bad, why is it one of the top commercial general plant fertilizers in the US? Like I said, it may not be designed for cannabis only (so there are better choices) but proper use can yield decent results. Just water it down and it works fine for beginners or anyone with an empty pocket book.

If it's too big of a pita to get more dirt, use what you have. Just don't add any more nutes till the plants tell you they need it, i.e. slight yellowing of leaves, etc. The reason most people don't use that soil is there's no control of the nute balance like you get from sterile soil and liquid nutes. It's also very easy to overfert with that stuff.
Make no mistake, many people have grown good bud with that soil and MG nutes. I have a friend growing outdoors with 5g buckets of Mg soil with MG nutes. He grows lots of good bud every year. He could probably do better with promix and a good liquid nute line, but he's too lazy for that shit.

Miracle grow is probably the worst thing to give your plant. atleast get fox farms not to pricey

Heya, All five of my plants hav been sprouted then potted into Miracle grow. they will be damaged if you add any nutes in the first 4 to 5 weeks, i tryed an NPK 24-8-12 and it was to strong. MG has loads of nutes stuffed in so if you want to use nutes get somthing else. The MG has got my badies doing very well so I wouldnt worry. After 5 weeks from my experiance with MG.

i have a mother in Miracle Grow potting mix in a recycle bin.. it was my first plant, its like 10 months old now and well lets just say "hey its still alive right" so do what you want dude. but with my experience, it has all the nutrients in it already so adding n e nutrients just fucks with it.. so i use low nutes when i feed it, it doesnt bounce back from sexing very well in the MG soil.. harder to control things if you use soil with nutrients in it and are trying to add more, so ever since learning so much with that plant i now use Pro-mix HP or Pro-mix BX.. the BX has more vermaculite in it which helps HOLD WATER, and the HP has less ver. and more perlite which helps DRAIN WATER.. i use the HP now cuz i grow inside and it helps it dry out quicker so you can get more feeds in.. you can buy a big bail of it for like $25, i manage to fill 3 recycle bins plus some with this so.. hope this helps anyways

Hey We Know How to Break-down and stack Nute's right,,,,,,,Miracle Used How You Know You Should,,, (very Light).......BUT HEED THE WORDS OF HOOVER NUTS CLAN.....LOLOLO Look My Buds would Not cure The way I do all the time ,,, even with a good flush I feel that M.G. is way to strong for Marajana... Fox is 2-8-4 for Veg and 6-4-4 for Tiger MG WOW 24-8-16.............You might Get Great Yield and Big ,,,MAYBE,,,,, But Your Buds will Not taste Or Even get You to The rabbit hole........SO Stay Away from Heavy Concentrates......Tease Your Bitches...They Love it....

I don't understand why you're saying this. Have you ever used it?

A few weeks ago I just pulled a 1/2 pound from three plants that were grown in MG soil. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. As long as you don't use nutes too early, it is a perfectly viable soil.

With that said, I won't be using it again because of the company's lying and dirty business practices, but not because it is not a viable product.

I think that it's downside is that it is something of a black box,
relative to other soil brands.

When you use it, you have little idea as to what else you might need
or want to add, other than through just plowing ahead, as you did with
great success.
