hey, i started a new batch of seeds, and i used the paper towel method for germination. I was able to plant all but 1 seed about 30 hours later. that 1 seed has been in the moist towel now for about 3 days, when i look at it, it has split open and i can see the white inside the seed, but no root has come throught yet. it has been like this now for at least 24 hours? think it will grow? also 1 of the plants that is in soil already actually grew its root out of the top of the soil instead of the seed part. will this be a problem?

as for the root thing it maybe a problem but let nature take its course i suggest maybe putting soil over it so it can situate itself =) and the germ just again be patient and it will show for ya=) plants need time. lol and just a tip when you plant the seed make sure that the root is pointing down and not up to avoid root problems in the future =) happy growing!!

thanks for the input. ya i have been putting the root down as much as i can. i think that 1 i had at a bit of an angle and i sprayed the top of the soil with a spray bottle maybe i didnt give it enough water and the root grew up because thats where the moisture was. just a guess

yes that would be right! =) seedlings like moisture not too much but they deff like it. what i like to do to kinda speed the process is when its time for night cycle you cover them with a misted pixie cup in and out and spray soil a lil on surface and leave it on top it creates humidity inside which will help the sprouting!! =) well good luck and Smoke One!!
