do I count the 8 weeks flowering from the 12/12 light change or from the first time I saw flowers, 3 weeks into 12/12 light change.

sorry to ask such a newbie question. didn't see it in the FAQs.

Looks good, post up some more pics in about 3 weeks. Whats the tiny spots on the leaves? It hard to see if there just crystals or do you have a spider mite problem.

Yeah. you have buds...

Check out my DWC grow thread, and check out the buds at 2 weeks.

Wrong one, I'll find the right link in a mo'.

Don't go strictly by the AVERAGE time it takes. Each plant is different and is affected by your own grow conditions. You should check the trichs. That's the sure-fire way of knowing when the plant is at it's peak THC. When the trichs are about 75% amber. Good luck and happy smoking!

Also, do not count the 8 weeks flower from the moment you switched to 12/12.

If you didn't mature your plants properly during veg' then there's every chance your plants could have taken a week or longer to start showing sex. Count the 8 weeks from the moment your plants showed sex.

This is why a lot of growers that grow from seed get impatient and switch to flower early in the mistaken belief that this will speed up the process. when in fact you could be slowing the process down as the plant will only have 12 hours of light to continue maturing enough to show sex.

this is what I suspected. i think they showed sex a little late (19 days) because I pushed them to flower very early. i'll just have to wait for these girls to finish and let the next girls mature longer as the control group.

i'd subtract those 19 days.

Mine are 2 weeks into 12/12.
They showed sex at 7 days in.
I feel like my plants have got atleast another 6-7 weeks.
8 weeks is also an early flowering plant.
Some go to 10 weeks.

On my last two strains started from seed the plants have showed sex during veg'. The first was a feminised grapefruit, showed after 8 weeks veg'. The second, and most recent was a la confidential x mystery haze, they showed after 6 weeks veg'. BTW, these were all grown in 2 gallon buckets, this matters... pot size matters in relation to how long you veg' the plant. After only 48 hours of flower these girls were covered in pistils and were starting to gain flower heads.

Give your plants those extra few weeks veg (growing from seed) and you will be paid dividends when you flower.
