will floresent work?

i currently have a small 3x3x10 grow room , i am using 2 300watt florescent , i have 2 plants growing they seem to be doing pretty good they are 5weeks old and just over 2 ft tall, will they do good with the lighting that i have?

yes you can use the Compact fluorescents and they will do okay but for serious buddage HID is what I like.

You can do alright with the CFLs

so.k. im kinda new to this ....... what is HID ?i also have a grow light in their with them temp stays around 80degrees and when the light are off it drops to 71 i have them on a 16 hour on and 8 off should i start cutting back the light?
