Will FFOF burn my seedlings ?

Whats up everyone. New here, looking forward to starting my first grow journal. My question is, I popped 2 easy ryder autos yesterday and put them straight into their 2 gal pots with FFOF. Im hearing this may be too hot for seedlings. Am I ok? If not, is there something I can do to fix or just cross my fingers and let em go? Thanks for your advice.

I always start in 4" pots with miracle grow seed starting mix with about 30% perlite mixed in. If you are worried about transplanting then just fill your finishing pot with FFOF and dig a small hole in the middle and fill with seed starting mix.

You'll be fine. Normally people say FFOF runs hot but I've started seeds in it with no problem.

Also those ryder Autos are generally really hardy plants if it is a little hot for them.

if it was a reg photo period seedling i would be more concerned. autos are more forgiving for sure.

I've always heard that autos were a lil more delicate and u should be more careful with autos.. Is this not true??

autos are starter plants. they will grow for you while you make mistakes. they just need light,food and fan. im not saying exp growers dont grow autos, im just saying you do not need to baby them as much.

ime, pre-ferted nutes burn seedlings. some strains can handle it, some can't. i never feed or use pre-ferted mediums, till after 2 weeks...

this is not true photos would be better because if you do run into problems you can keep vegging till you get it back to good health you dont have that option with autos.

i have put no less than 1000 plants (rooted clones or seedlings) from prop cubes (root riot, rockwool, whatever u use) straight into 100% FFOF and never had a single one look overfed, let alone "burn".

ive grown one auto at a time for two years and never needed to reveg. i agree having that option makes photos easier but autos are so easy to me. could be im a experienced veggie grower. growing weed is simple compaired to tomatoes and peppers.

if your grow is thought out before you germinate your first bean, you shouldnt have issues where you need to reveg an auto if it was possible.

I've started seeds and baby clones in FFOF soil. I do add course perlite and dolomite lime to my FFOF.

Good to know. I have seen seedlings burn from hot mixes like FF Et al. So as a rule I steer newbie growers away from them unless they dilute the mix first. But in the end I just don't get why some ppl experience burn and some don't.

i base my opinions on personal experience. ive made every mistake possible and ive never had a failed auto grow.

I don't think autos are more or less forgiving the only difference is they flower without flipping them. As plants go, they are the same as photo period plants.

its just a personal opinion of mine. i believe autos are a good option for noob growers but by no means am i saying my opinion is the only correct answer.
