Will any of these work for veg?

Their White LED's are all Neutral or Cool White. You'd really want Warm White if you planned to flower with these. You'd use this panel from seed/clone to flower?

Have you contacted them? Do you know if they are willing to supply other colors?

I have experience with this eBay seller.

She is willing to solder the LED's to the PCB's (heatsink core) if you ask, she'll find an LED driver that's suitable for your needs, she has LED colors not listed on her website, and her prices are pretty competitive. You'd only have to find a heat sink and wire everything up which is almost as easy as that LED kit you're looking at.

Just a thought.

just for clone/veg. would any of the mixes they offer off the shelf be suitable? I haven't contacted them.

Thanks for the link, I will browse around that seller.

I've had good results with HPS in flower, but looking to boost seedling/clone/veg some from the cfl I have tried. I'm wanting to see if I prefer LED to T5.

The 4500K White's should be good for veg.

Maybe check out the LED flood lights on eBay, too. You can get them in different CCT's (you'll probably want "Daylight" or "Neutral White," ~4000K-6000K) and different wattages. Most come with an LED driver attached to the housing meaning all that's left for you to do is attach an extension cord to the exposed wire leads and plug it in.

If that looks intriguing you could even think about buying your own ~4000K LED chip, LED driver, and heat sink to make your own light source. You can probably get close to 1W/$1 taking this route.

Thanks again. I saw the LED flood lights and thought they'd work in theory but hadn't seen anyone using them yet.
