Will a S&P TD-150 Keep 600w HPS/MH bulbs/room cool?

Hello all;
Just about ready to start my setup. I picked up two of these fans. They should keep 6" cool tube HPS/MH bulbs cool np I assume correct? 293/218 Hi/Low CFM. I also have the switches, but I assume I will have to keep them on high mostly.

6'x6'x8'

The HPS setup will be:
Different room>>Cooltube>>Fan>>Different room.
Filter>>Fan>>Different room.

The MH will be:
Drying room/Filter>>Cooltube>>>Fan>>Different room.

**Nope. I plan to do this proper so it seems like I am buying another fan. I can taste it already.

The high setting on that model is the best cfm per watt out of all the the settings on all the fans soler&palau offer. However if you feel its too loud you can always put it on the low setting, which is the second most efficient cfm per watt.

Even on low it should be enough though.

I use a crap 240CFM fan and it keeps my 600w cool. I can leave my hand on the reflector without getting burned for a few minutes.

Thank you for the answers, and suggestions bud. After much reading I came to the conclusion that those fans rock. I wish that silent line was available in america.

For that 600w do you have the intake from another room, or is it hooked up to the filter in the grow room?

Just to be safe I may just bite the bullet and buy another fan. I think I may set it up like that link above, but it would be in a little bit bigger of an environment.

I have my td200 hooked up to a carbon filter exhausting outside. My air cooled reflector is hooked up to a 240cfm inline axial fan which takes room air and runs it thru the reflector and back out into the room as I need the heat. I don't even have it aircooled right now as we have like 35 degree weather right now and I need all the heat I can get which is a downside for having your main exhaust hooked up to the reflector you won't have the option of only running main exhaust to add heat. During the summer imma intake from the room and exhaust into my main duct because I won't need the heat then.

No problem man...here to help

hmm well now I am reading that the temps from the light may cause issues to the fan if I am pulling? It says their max operating temp is 104f. Hmm To push or pull...I want to pull as I assume it would be more efficient, but melting my fans would suck. Opinions?

The TD-150 is a max op. temp of 140. The smaller TD's are 104. I have 150 cu. ft w/600w. I pull through the hood with no problems. Cools great. I measured the fan components with my laser temp. gun. if my memory serves, I think it was around 112... (there is a 3 ft. duct run off hood prior to fan.) I recall thinking I had 28 degrees to spare. I verified with the company that the max temp was 140 as I had run into both temps being listed for that model. They are routinely installed in attics, so they have to be able to handle some heat.
I am just trying to figure out which carbon filter to use with the TD-150. Wondering how much it will affect my temps which run at a fairly stable 79 lights on. I'm also wondering if pushing through the CF would work better with these. Anyone happen to have any insights, brand/cfm recommendations?

I was looking at the Silent line and contacted the US branch. Heard back that they are being release in the US tomorrow, Dec. 1! Only being sold through Johnstone Distributors, ABCO Refrigeration, and Economy Refrigeration. No idea on pricing, but I have call into these guys to find out when I can get one. The 8" TD-800/200 runs at 19 dB on high at somewhere around 550 CFM. In comparison, I think the Vortex 8" runs at around 80 dB....

I just ordered the S&P TD200 Silent, they are being released in the US tomorrow. Only being sold through a few select wholesalers, I had to go through a collegue to purchase. $275.00 with shipping from FL. Ordered a speed controller for this as well. Rated at just under 20 dB, it's 75% quieter than the equivelent Vortex fan....we'll see how it turns out. Glad they are finally available here!
