Why???

awareness.

marijuana is ancient genetic code that predates humans. The conditions on earth were not always what they are today, marijuana having experienced and adapted to these changes, still contains the knowledge of how to take advantage of certain conditions.
The list of genetic triggers we have the power to activate in this plant is pretty long, and the more triggers we're aware of the better we can get at achieving our optimal conditions.

So in the world are there fields of bud growing by only nature? Can nature grow some dank by it's self?

the best outdoor bud (for the purposes of smoking and getting high) will likely grow in high altitude locations with cool temps and fairly dry conditions... no doubt there is wild bud growing all over the world

selective breeding ...i think is the right answer lets say your familey grows corn every year you save the corn plant that gave you the most ears and plant the seeds from that plant over time your yeilds incres .....on of the earlyest storys i herd about a 20 % thc content plant which we have high ones now but any way in a small villige in india some seed breeders came across a local plant that had been grown for a 100 years for hash making every year the plant that gave them the most hash was the seeds the kept and over time had devolped from a small hash content to a big one like the corn plant i was talking about earler .......hope this helps your understanding of the subject

Is it stronger? Not sure about that jared, maybe some old hippies smokers disagree. Ive heard some shit in 60's was mind blowing far out man.

I totally disagree. My cousin scored a matchbox of Acapulco gold and rolled me a match-thin joint. I shared it with 5 friends; we all got one hit and it totally trashed every one of us to the point we almost all got fired that afternoon. It was all we could do to keep from laughing uncontrollably.

Only the cheese is as it was.

Here we get into the two dimensions of strength: efficacy and potency. Imo herb has become more potent - it takes less quantity to get one there.
Is it more efficacious, i.e. does it take one higher? Maybe ... but I haven't encountered any bud or concentrate, incl. 99+% refined delta-nine, that has gotten me higher than the "colombian" I got massively wasted on in the 70s.

More knowledge, more experience, better technology, better fertilizers. Even after all that, scientists still have only seen an average increase of THC in seized marijuana by 2.71% in the last two decades.

a topic that never gets old, one big difference is we're talking seedless versus seeded
gram for gram, seedless has more resin, that is pretty solid
but stronger resin? that's a lot more debatable
also we're comparing apples and oranges, most bud today has a strong indica base
compare today's sativa's with the old sativa's, and i'd call it a dead heat

Well as an old hippie and veteran from back in the 70's thats a good question. I was with an aviation electronic warfare unit and had flights all over the world on a regular basis with no customs and back then no dogs or drug tests. I don't think the smoke today is any stronger per se, most strains have been watered down (mixed between indicas and sativas). It is hard to get that soaring, laughing, giggling, freak'n high when you have indica mixed in everything. Today we have selective breeding and yes make bigger yields, more resin on the buds but a much more IMHO blended high today, than in years gone by.
I think the other big difference today than in the 70's is precartel and big business. The root of all evil, the search for the almighty dollar ruined the old strains mostly in the search of more weight and shorter flowering times. Remember the old landraces take 16 to 20 weeks easily when two crops can be grown in that time with most of today's flowertimes.
So I don't think there is much difference overall in strength I believe it is more about the type of high today over the 70's. Best example it is like drinking single malt scotch all you life and then having to drink blended scotch, does it get you drunk yeah but just not the same.
Happy Growing
