The HPS tints a bit yellow, but they are white as rice and healthy looking. Aquashield man... it works wonders on the cheap!

Ya pick up a quart and add 10ml per gallon. Its cheap too I buy the gallons for 34 bucks and quarts are like 13 or so. I would NEVER run DWC without (beneficial only, do NOT run H2O2 with this as I never run any H2o2 unless its at end of harvest and no aquashield is in or Dutchmaster Zone) , in my opinion, although past week 6 I stop adding it as they are nearing final phase and roots are pretty much dying soon anyway (yet they always stay healthy looking so I know it doesn't hurt them for final few weeks).

This was just my Blue Cheese but each and every plant is like that in the root zone if I took pics, and I will when I snap pics next time of a few.

I struggled too, having plants in flower with little or poor looking roots, snot/slime etc. Always struggling with temps and oxygen etc, after I started with the Aquashield the other stuff just went away. So I attribute my issues to being solved by this product, so that's what I am basing this on. Your mileage may very but I am sure it WILL help in some way FOR sure. Now I never have to even lift my buckets I KNOW they are white and healthy (unless) the water level stays too long lower then netpot then they brown up a bit from air etc.. I just try to keep water at bottom of net pot all the way through, and plants LOVE it.

My findings on H2o2 were that it works, but it does not produce roots and plants as fast as running some type of beneficial bacteria or compost solution like Aquashield. I ran them side by side, Aquashield/Voodoo Juice or similar products do produce better, faster stronger roots and plants period. Few days sure faster may seem like not a lot but the roots are key for BIG healthy producing plants you want, and since my roots are so well taken care of my plants are rewarding me like crazy. I mention this because people often neglect or don't think much of roots or issues later within the grow when they are unhealthy. Especially in hydro, you want your root base to be the V12 Supercharged machine to uptake all those nutes in the hydrosolution that normally are not available in any other medium, thats the KEY point of hydro but many take the water and the uptake principles with a grain of salt.

So in my opinion to get that engine (roots) you need, you have to run some type of beneficial bacteria to aide in development. The only thing I notice is that sometimes my roots get pretty thick and short which is pretty weird to see, but those plants who have those root systems seem to be great up takers and producers, I do not know why some do it some don't though. Even on the same cloned strains, some will some wont. Weird.

Yes.. not sure but I think its how the bene's react if they get aggressive and take over I think the monster roots come on (my thinking so far).

I have a chemdawg now with those type of roots I will take a pic, and show you. They are not hideous but they are not your normal looking nice draping roots.

did you drop drop the vodoo juice? So aquashield + sugars(botanicare sweet) for root protection?

I only run voodoo in vegetation.. never in flower and just Aquashield/Sweet until 6th week then I just run Dutchmasters Zone to keep things in check as they die off until Harvest. Roots pretty much stop growing upon the 4th week of flower or earlier if they are healthy, so voodoo juice being liquid gold is stupid to waste in flower.

I am thinking of using just Aquashield alone after my voodoo runs out, so we will see then. I tried it once before and both worked beter together then each separately, but I was not using Dyna line neither. I am so happy with dynagro line and results I hate to start tweaking and ruin it, but I could also make it EVEN better too. Hard line to cross sometimes.

So why is it that roots die off? With the P rich flower food you'd think the roots would flourish since P grows roots.

I found my roots got a bit dark running bennies...They were white and then I added some and then they got dark, I think it might of been the EWC. Its not spreading so I doubt its anything bad. I do use aquashield in my bennies, this has stuff floating in it though, is this normal or did I get a bad batch?

I think your fine. you use home brewed teas so they might not have the consistancy of aquashield.

When I was running Heisnebergs tea it stained my roots almost like they were bad, but grew big and strong. Then I just stopped using that, and started the Aquashield and Voodoo juice and they grew as fast, strong and stayed pearly white too. No more froth, or other crap floating in the water. I mean the tea works, but its time consuming, messy and needs more work. I don't need more work, unless I cannot achieve the same results without it. I did, so I stopped.

so in dwc buckets you run aquashield and voodo (plus a sugar for them to eat.) along with your nutes? how often do you re apply this (if ever)

I add 10ml of Aquashiled per gallon, and 2 mil of Voodoo per gallon with 2-3ml sweet per gallon for food. This is up until the 1st week of flower then it is just 10ml Aquashiled per gallon and 2ml of sweet until week 8 then its just Dutchmasters Zone (no beneficials).

When I top off I use gallon jugs that are 30% strength of my normal solution so not ot over fertilize, but I do monitor my ppms and adjust if they get out of wack because they are eating more or less.

Update... guess I would give you some updates as fast as I can, been a bit down between classes so have time.

Agent Orange at 30ish days flowering, I am kicking myself for not cloning this, the buds are just huge everywhere and A LOT of them. Plant is a beast at over 4 feet tall too with just 3 weeks veg. Just the plant I was looking for, if the smoke is as good and tasty. The smell is crazy, its like a orange creamcile, DAMN I was stupid now I have to order some seeds.



Blue Cheese is coming along at 30ish days as well.. buds are forming nicely. She is under 4ft just shy.

Well thats all, cloned some chenmdawg that is in veg now, and thats all I have going as I have NO room in flower. My Heavy Duty Fruity looks like a male, first non-fem seed in a long time, sucks but that's why I get feminized.

Well, everyone I want to state one thing.

In my journal you guys can talk, bitch about anything. I just got bitched out by a journal guy, for as he quoted "bragging about hydroton" hahaha.

He uses the "sure to grow" or pillow stuffing, and claimed it was clean and just throw away at 25 bucks a bag that does 24 net pots. I told him I pay 10 bucks for hydroton and makes like 60 of the same size net pots that I just throw away too. So if that is his only reason, why would you not use it? Now granted you have to work at bit like cleaning the hydroton or rinsing etc, but at over a 2:1 savings and no justifiable benefit to the pillow stuffing but STG fabricated claims. I even stated that the stuffing works for him, that is good and he still chastised me.

Oh well, I want anyone reading this journal that everyone has their opinions and preferences. Speak up let me know, I have an open mind and will converse with you about the point and not call you out for "ruining" my journal.

I can understand its his journal, but he handled it bad. If he would have come to me and politely asked that it bothered him and his journal I would have deleted it. Apparently he likes to control his journal with iron fists, but it's ok it's his journal I will keep my posts out of his journal. I try not to associate with people like that who get trigger over stupid shit like forum posts even when they are "reaching" for something to bitch about like my posts.

I wish him the best, and hope he gets what ever is masking him so resentful and angry under control, because I know it wasn't me mentioning hydro-ton was a better choice for his medium. I guess he doesn't like other opinions, advice, thoughts or anything other constructive in his threads, sad.
