Why use electricity on a heater when you can use it on a hps in a daisy reflector

Mine usually gets down to mid 60sF or so per a soil thermometer with lights off in winter, maybe only 70sF during the day, don't really know. But will this time around.

I have an old water bed heater I was thinking of using under the girls this winter.

Run the lights at night time off in the day time
Bingo!

That's what I do.

I say screw the HPS haters. If they enjoy their $600 lights good for them. I could care less about their fancy equipment. Some seem like they're just trying to justify all they money the spent by trying to make fun of people using HID. I don't understand it. Just grow some damn weed. Nobody cares what kind of light you use. Oh wait some do. They relish in trying to make fun of those of us that use HID. Most of us don't give a damn. The only people that do are those trying to show off their fancy expensive lights.

I liken it to the kind of people that brag about their AKC purebred dog like it's any better of a companion than a good old mutt. Mutts make great dogs and HID's grow great weed. End of story.

Funny but you're way off base.

I also get a laugh out of all the new growers bragging about their new fancy top of the line LED light but can't even germinate a seed or grow a plant without it looking like something from a canuck video. True story.

Heater at night, lights during the day

Because I hung my hps back up in the barn, where they belong.
Sold all 3 of mine to a guy who runs them at night for the heat in his drafty old ranch house. He still runs an oil heater because it’s cold here. Just uses less electricity the way he does it. He’s got a 1000, 600 and 400 and is running them all along with a COB over his first flower crop. In a 5’X6 space. Lol.
