Why so slow to grow?

i recently (about 4wks) transplanted a 2wk old rooted clone i had vegg'n under 1000w to a outdoor location and when i first re-planted it i didn't do a great job on prep'n my local so after 2wks i moved it to a much better local with pro mix soil, 8hrs of direct over head sun light i started feed the plant last week a 1/4 tspn of mg 18-18-21 tomato feed to 1gal of water ( i know im late as hell feeding her:sad:)..now all a long i notice very little growth in the plant (no way am i gettin a inch a day) keep in mind its not dying it looks healthy it just not gaining height and its been vegg'n for a total of 6wks total and its small? any ideas why when the plant is not dying,burnt, or anything of that nature...please help:wall:

The plant must be pissed off due to the transition between 1000W HPS to sunlight. That grass around it seems unhealthy. You might want to take a look into that as well. The fertilizer you're using should be the other way around, more Nitrogen than Phosphorus and Potassium. My take is that the grass around it seems to be lacking Nitrogen and you're not really giving it the boost other growers usually do doubled with a shock from indoors to outdoors.

Different strains make a difference too. I'd say now that you're feeding it regularly, you'll see a difference. I had a very slow purple kush that I didn't feed for two weeks after transplant and she barely grew. Now she's catching up. Good luck!

thanks i'll keep my fingers crossed and wait another week or two see what happens:wall:

your plant is just stressed.. moving it from indoors to outdoors is stress enough if you didnt harden it off to sunlight.. sunlight is WAY different from artificial light so plants that are moved from indoors to outdoors must slowly be introduced to sunlight or you will stress the hell of the plant... it can even cause death if the plant isnt strong enough to begin with... plus it takes 4 to 5 days for transplanted plants to start growing again... so you moved it twice in 2 weeks... which means you stressed it out for both those weeks.. hence no growth.. then add in the sunlight stress... and you have yourself a VERY sloe growing plant for a few weeks...

you need nutes that are high in nitrogen, as was already said... you should also get some sort of rooting hormones or something that will help with transplant shock like thrive alive and feed to your girl.. this will help her start growin like wild fire within the next week..

now as i said earlier i've just started giving her some mg 18-18-21 along with superthrive not sure of how much to dope her cause she's not behaving normal the ph in the soil is fine anyone have feed back on superthrive

i didnt see anything about superthrive... its a great product.. and is very good to use for transplantting and continous feeding.. it will help your girl in so many different ways.. from nute up take to generally being able to with stand more stress.. i highly recommend it..

but you still are using nutes that are higher in phosphorous than in nitrogen.. NPK.. you want the first number in the series to be the highest for veg...

if you switch to different nutes, or even stay on the same ones, but give her another week or so she should return to full growth...

you can also increase the amount of nutes you use.. with her being outdoors she can use all of them you give her since shes in the sun...

so simsam you would suggest that i continue to use the Superthrive while i up my dose of the feed im giving it ....and ima run out and get a food with a 20-10-20 / 10-5-10 npk asap
