Why so sleepy?

Cal mag 5ml/gal every other watering. Not sure if that was the right move, I’m reading a lot of conflicting info on the frequency of usage of cal mag.
No other nutes at this point.
The stems on the leaves are slightly purple.

I have them on the bottom of the tent next to a flowering plant. The light is hung pretty high due to the size of the flowering plant. Could they be lacking light?

I though they were over watered so I let them dry out really well. Watered them again and they are not perking up at all. They have been like this for 3 days. I was thinking maybe it’s time to transplant but they do not look rootbound at all. Just starting to show roots from the bottom of the cup. What gives? I let seedlings go much taller than this in cups...don't think it's rootbound lol look at the plant in the back. People love their plants to death unfortunately.
Ive let plants flower in those cups. Thats not to say if he pops one out , he may see for himself. Or her

It's all that cal/mag your dumping in there. Stop doing that or you'll end up with K deficiency.

Your soil looks like you dried it out a bit to much. Seems to look hydrophobic.

is your run off just going straight out the bottom? Almost as if it’s not absorbing the water at all? Or can you see the soil soak up the water from the inside by the base?

Anyone who can grow a healthy plant only water once a week is a magician or doesn’t know much.
all wrong. dont wanna be dick, but this will take OP in wrong direction. @inth3shadowz nailed it right away
Don’t be a dick then if you don’t wanna be.
He’s not all wrong by any means. Most folks growing in soil are scared of water for some reason.

The truth is the opposite of the normal regurgitation of “dry the soil complexly between waterings”. That’s BS. Water everyday in soil. People get scared of it because it’s a practice and takes years to really grasp it.

this is for soil gardening, take it or leave it I’m not being a dick but just saying….

and to praise the guy who said he only waters every 7-8 days. Wow good luck with that I guess. I won’t even take any more time to explain why soil needs moisture in a consistent level. It shouldn’t even be called watering but just plainly “adding moisture to soil food web” and even in small solo cups with bagged soils that’s all one has to do. Don’t be afraid of water. Water is LIFE by allmeans.

The problem is the plant likes to grow. We like to get high and the outcome is usually acceptable. I personally don’t have any time for bro science snd the greatest myth of cultivating cannabis is that’s it requires any different special care than other plants. Soil science is sound snd doesn’t leave much room for debate. I’d love to help you but unless you accept that what you know may be complete garbage you cannot see the light.
My houseplants like to be watered once a week or once a month. Healthy cannabis grown in soil likes frequent waterings. Obviously the volume will change based on plant demands But the is nothing special about and dry out between waterings.
The plant goes into stasis when these droughts occur. Nothing is happening. The don’t grow cells are not multiplying and they also stay kinda green and the Ill advised gardener will assume this is what’s supposed to happen. Cause that’s what the internet says… snd of course the weekly conjuring of Vitamin PH water is checked off the box so double secure in good practice( insert sarcasm).
I’m probably barkin up the wrong tree here but somebody might read this and maybe their intuitive gut says “ shit this didn’t make since, why am I’m inducing drought every third day in my poor plants”.

Depends on the soil.
Some bagged soils with higher peat ratios don’t need it necessarily.
Soils with coco need more frequent watering.
High temp in your tent, RH, ventilation… all play roles. As does plant size.

Aren’t you the one who keeps complaining about seeds herming on you? Magician making nanners appear
Dude...I'm not here to compare knowledge of watering etc, just trying to help this guy out. You're over here asking if water runs out slow or quick? Lol what a real genius.
