i prefer organic because i do not want to inhale those chemicals made by man into my body. i dont trust anything made by man thats why i dont do acid and coke and stuff. only shrooms and weed for me. i also like organic as a added bonus because the taste is so good.

Yea, fuck those man-made things like antibiotics, vaccinations and cancer drugs! We don't need advances in plant nutrition, who cares if it can feed millions more people and saves lives. Fuck the poor and undeveloped countries!

Lots of good thoughts in the thread, I should have taken notes. I want to address one post and I can't find it about chemicals and controlling NPK chemically. Well the truth is anything you can do out of the bag you can do with compost and teas. You can have more N P or K by what you put in your compost. Properly made compost and a few suppliments such as molasses and you have 100% of what the girl needs to reach her potential, given the right light, sunlight please.

1. No chemicals
2. Better taste and smoke in throat and lungs
3. Appearance is outstanding because natural nutes and soil allows the plant to focus in making beautiful chrystalized buds because they are gentler on the plant.
4. The smell is dank like fresh fruit!
5. The high is completely pure with no negative effects since chemicals can attribute that to the high and give you a bad comedown and interefere with the plants high.

Vaccinations, cancer drugs, are you kidding me? Then again with a puppet like Obama in your avatar...

Wat? You don't think these things are man-made? You don't think without them your life expectancy would be about age 40-50 instead of 80?

I have no problem with organic growing. I think there it does produce a better flavor in both food and cannabis but the type of comments by Cyproz, "not trusting" man-made products when s/he and everyone else here has benefited greatly from them is just as short-sighted and wrong as the synthetic only growers that claim there's absolutely no benefit to organic.

Compiled from different sources, can be applied to our 'fruits'...

Organic growing looks at the interrelationships of all living organisms and works in concert with the cycles of nature. Organic growing avoids the use of:
synthetic fertilizers
synthetic pesticides

Instead, organic growing keeps the soil and environment healthy by using composting, and green manures, as well as natural methods of pest and insect control.

An organic garden is free from toxic chemicals, which means that the produce is free also. Your fruits and vegetables will not have a chemical residue, which if not washed off thoroughly, will enter your body. Organic produce has also been shown to have a higher vitamin and mineral content than those grown with the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.

Taste – While many organic fruits and vegetables will not have the uniform look of those you purchase in a super market, they will have superior taste. A virtual explosion of flavor that bears little resemblance to the taste of commercially raised produce.

The Environment – Since organic gardeners use no chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, none of these chemicals can run off and find their way into the water supply. Another benefit of this lack of chemical run-off is that small animals, birds, and beneficial insects are not harmed by chemical use. Because organic gardeners are continually building up their soil with organic matter, there is less erosion of topsoil leading to general erosion, which can impact an entire area. By putting organic waste into compost, you are helping relieve landfills since the waste would otherwise be taking up space there.

Conventional farming methods increase harvests for the first few seasons, but then the soil becomes depleted. Synthetic fertilisers replace macronutrients, but trace minerals are not replaced; pesticides kill “good” microorganisms - necessary to maintain soil health - along with the “bad”. Gradually, the soil structure is broken down. Organic methods restore soil health by adding compost and manure and creating a healthy balance of nutrients.

BTW, there are no peer-reviewed studies that have found a positive correlation of vaccinations to autism. FUD is the name of the pseudoscientific anti-vaccination crowd. Links to an opinion piece isn't going to sway me. Vaccines work. We've eliminated smallpox from this world. We have managed to tame polio. We no longer have hospital wards full of children with whooping cough, unable to breath.
Vaccines are a population, epidemiological solution. They are meant to control outbreaks and epidemics by making sure a crucial percent of the population is immunized. Once that level drops to a certain level, the probability of these epidemics rise sharply.

My avatar, if you couldn't tell, was a bit of a ridicule by altering the cigarette into a joint.

i trust things like vaccines and some medicines but we are humans not perfect beings. We still dont know everything about marijuana and how it grows. Nature has been doing its work for a long long time, so when u go with organic aka, natural from nature, your letting it do its work.

This is my take on the organic grow-
If your growing weed to sell, make a living off of, then grow with chemicals, you can grow great big pretty buds to sell and make lots of money.
If your growing for yourself (medicine), how could you not grow organic? I'm a prop 215 patient and of course i'm growing organic. I'm consuming this stuff, and I want to put the best stuff into my body. Much of my product is eaten, not smoked and organic makes all the difference in taste. Yummy canna butter on my pancakes this morning......yummm

Theres my 2 cents...

Why organic. I don't know.

I am about to start my second grow and am going organic.

I did chemical on the first and made the mistake of over fertilizing.

Anyway I think that everyone should watch this show on organics.
