Why no stink?

They gotta be 5 or 6 weeks flowering now. They are starting to get some good size every day on the buds. Shouldn't odor start being a problem? You can smell it in the grow room a bit, but you have to get in direct contact with the nose before it smells dank.
Can't smell it outside the grow room. How long does it take? I think I can wait 'till Mon. to install ventilation. I'm nowhere near as worried about smell as I was 2 weeks ago.

Depends On The Strain...I Have Some Going Right Now You Can Smell For A Good 10 Feet, And They Aren't Even Flowering Yet.

yea its probly the strain that you are growing. it will probly start to smell more the farther along you are.... but who knows?

i doubt that, but wouldnt you be a lil worried if your buds had no smell?

No, just trying to get some perspective here. 1st grow and all. I read about all the heat, and odor probs faced by alot of people, and assume the worst. I haven't REALLY experienced the heat issues that most have, but then, i have to bear in mind that alot of people out there are growing in a microcosm. Heat and odor would be alot harder to control than in a larger environment. If this ain't gonna stink, I'll forego the carbon filter and ozone generator, and vent directly under the house. My house sits about 75' from the road at the closest point, over 300' everywhere else. I doubt anyone driving by would smell anything, my only worry would be delivery types and the meter reader. By the time the air seeped from under the house, I doubt vety seriously that even the meterguy would smell anything.
Lets just say I grew a strain extrememly dank and smelly. How far could you smell it outside? Could odor be a problem if i vent under the house? It's really cool down there, and would cool the air enough so that it would be at ambient or cooler by the time it got out from under there.

mine seem to smell more a little after i water then the smell goes away not too much smell outside my room and i dont filter the air. but when i harvest my entire second floor smells like skunk and you can smell a few grams of this stuff 10 feet away in a bag in my pocket when its dried just wait it'll probably be better after harvest

u can smell mine a few inches away from the plant an it jus started flowering

mine are three weeks into veg and about 18-20 in and they stink up my house. I have 30 of them though. I dont run carbon filters, but i do vent all day.

It's likely a combo of strain and a phenomenon called habituation. When we're around a specific odor or other stimulus after awhile we tend not to notice the odor. I have a trusted third party come over to my place on occasion to see if she can smell anything.

I had 7 AK47 x Blueberry girls veg for 2 months. They got huge, during the final weeks of flowering the box was nothing but BUD . Dry weight was a little over 1 and a 1/2 lbs and honestly it didn't smell that much at all.

On the other hand, I am growing the same strain as well as one Nebula and two Sensi-Stars from clone and they stink two weeks into flowering. In other words, it's strain dependent...

it might have been coincidence but my started stinking up the place like 2 days after i dosed with with molasses. about to dose them again tonight.

I can smell mine from the hallway outside the room it's in and it's not budding. Sometimes I wish it wouldn't smell so much, I can't imagine the smell when it starts to bud.

I can imagine the taste though.
