Why is the american flag backwards?

Yes.... some of our civil liberties have been taken away..... and it is up to the citizens of this Country to vote OUT the scoundrels who seek to continue taking away our liberties. It's up to the American people to do so..... we have the power because we are free to VOTE!

As a Country we are only as good as the people we elect to represent us. Clearly we've done a bad job in the last 2 elections..... hopefully Americans are paying closer attention this year. Personally I think George W. Bush has single-handedly SCREWED the Republican party.... for at least the next 8 years.... maybe longer.

Ever heard of the patriot act. What about patriot act 2. George w. bush has single handedly destroyed the bill of rights/constitution. People are being arrested for protesting. People are being prosecuted for their religion.
There are "freedom" camps being built, posse camitatus is eroding. Dubya has even been quoted saying "it's just a goddamn piece of paper". You honestly think we voted George bush into office? Preposterous. He was anointed president. The American people have ZERO control over what happens. But Florida girl, as a freedom loving American I appreciate your opinion and input. I hope you're right, and your optimism is a breath of fresh air. But I've lost all hope.

Hmm... Politics aside....

The reason the Flag is worn on the right shoulder (As in...instead of the left) is because the Unit patch is on the left. Plain and fucking simple. Why is the unit patch on the left? I don't remember, I'm pretty sure my drill seargent told us that too but you can't expect me to remember everything.

I think it's some sort of subtle 'right hand'/'left hand good/evil suggestion but that's just MHO...

That said and back to politics. Patriotism is relative. Stop Hatin'. That's all I'm going to say.

...and is reversed so that the flag is always advancing, not going backwards (retreating)...there is no hate...
