Why is RDWC containers slimy

I left faucet water in my RDWC system for a few weeks to make sure it was leak proof now that I’m draining water I noticed everything water touched has a slimy feel to it until I rub that area a few times. Why is that?

Usually anyone running rdwc or reservoirs are running sterile(h2o2,pool shock ect) or live res with beneficial bacteria(bennies)

I assume this would help the slime situation.

I will be running ro water I just used faucet water to fill up quickly n see if it would leak. What can I clean my system with to get rid of before I put my ro water n plants in system

6% bleach, pool shock or h2o2 are mostly what ive seen being used most to sterilize i think.

What is that how does it affect my plants n how do I get rid of it?
Bacteria that thrives in low oxygen condition, like stagnant water. You can do several things, Decrease water temp, increase the dissolved oxygen in the water and use a sterilizing agent or bennies.

Will do i just read that oxygen will keep them at bay. I will have 23l of oxygen per container hope that works with some h202

I will do all three. I just left water in container thinking since it’s clean water with lid on inside grow tent I was ok. But I was being lazy n should have been dumped water out

You need a chiller if you're gonna run RO. If it's less than 50-60gals, a 1/10HP will do. Anything more, I'd use a 1/4HP.

if I read that correctly, you just filled it with tap water and left unaerated for a few days? Most likely anaerobic bacterial slime, I'd clean it all with a mild bleach solution.

Pretty much but the lids do have 10 inch holes in them plus fan blowing in tent but I’m pretty sure that’s what is is now. What mild bleach solution do u recommend

I have brand new chiller 1/4. Didn’t work straight out the box
What is wrong with it?
Mine had a relay crap out I had to order a new one and literally desolder the old one and re solder the new one into the PCB control board.

Ok first I have 1/4 hp active aqua. When I plug cooler in the switch lights up so I know that part works but nothing happens or display on lcd screen. I had connections with pump hooked up water flowing out but cooler not on. Tried a few plugs around the house but same thing

Open it up and see where the power stops.

I did open it n make sure wires wasn’t loose
If you have a multimeter, it'll be easy to follow the power in from the core, to the PCB, and trace the lines on it, testing components to see when and where the power stops going through. If your display doesn't even work, there's most likely a component broken.
Did you buy this 1/4HP brand new?
