Why is OG Kush worth more in the streets..?

It's always the same price here... Weed is weed!!
Nothing could'nt be further from the truth
=============================
At one time it was all about smell if it did not smell really strong you could not sell it if you do sell it,i can't part with mine.

But time's are changing for the better, people are going far more on taste rather than smell all though smell will all ways be a key factor if you are growing for retail in the uk any how.

I'm lucky because i have tried most strains,in the years i have been smokeing and been around growers and a grower. And to me it is all about the taste and the cbd.Thc/cbd been the main factor, because i use for its medical value,my wife really needs it more than me its the only thing that helps her,i use high thc strains for sleep and pain relief.

In the uk it is all about haze well when i say that im talking the north of england,a few strains been real front runners uk cheese the clone only one/jack herer/blues/nevilles haze/super silver haze and just a late girl scout cookies seems to be comeing a sought after strain.

Just good to see people willing to try new things its all about the taste not the smell,at one point im sure i could have sold really smellie strains that would have been 1% thc over a none smelling plant that was in the 20% range mad really but glad times are changing

Agreed. I've had this cut for almost 6 or 7 years... before the "Kush craze" really exploded.

I feel so bad calling it "Og Kush" these days I use a different name when donating it
What is known as OG isn't a kush, was never a kush, will never be a kush, and it's not trying to be a kush. I live at the beach but I'm only 30 mins from the valley which is of course the mecca for SFV X's. You'll never see those cuts or their flowers labeled as OG Kush. It's more of a term common to outsiders. The various offerings are simply known by their mnemonic identifier. SFV OG is simply stated as such. Same with Tahoe OG. Larry OG & the list goes on. By the way: if anyone out there's "OG" is from seed, well: it likely is not a true representation of what the elite valley cuts are known for. But keep labeling your poptop jars as such. Perhaps it will make you feel better

I think its more of a name sake of some where along the line of the parentage like hindu kush,

Either way had 12 lost coast og's ripped this year 4 week of there finished time the ripper had no idea the fucking fool,it was not cooked but would have been around 10lb if he would have waited,i was gutted but its all part and parcel of this game.

i agree some of the best cannabis around is comeing from that part of the world now, just wish we had the weather and the change in the law so we could medicate without haveing to be looking over our shoulders all the time.

Has any one heard anything about if there is gonna be another weed country comeing soon,

we work on the same thing well simular f1 f2 f3

Actually I think "kush" just fell off the name because it became redundant to always add it on to OG. Once anything is popularized it is common for it to be abbreviated. I assume you know that though, per your ostentatious use of the word "mnemonic" .

Also, a lot of the OG cuts floating around LA now have come from Cali Connection seed stock, so your valley of immaculately conceived strains has been corrupted by seed grown plants. :)

My cut has been in my possession for 7 years and was brought with me from Tennessee.

Not sure about around LA, but I know I am the only person in San Bernadino County that I've ever met that grows it. Not saying others don't, but I am only 1-2 hours from LA, and I don't see any cuts of anything claiming to be an unadulterated OG around here.

Dispensaries always have 14 different strains of random OGs and Kushes... but I have yet to meet someone claiming to grow a true OG other than me in these parts.

Interesting take. I also love the irony of being cast in a pretentious light from a dude who throws around the word ostentious.
As for your claim that Swerve's amateur ways have somehow polluted the Valleys vast stock of elite cuts? An absolutely hilarious claim. I was going to simply pen the word "Bullshit" in response, but I didn't feel that such an exclamation truly captured the viscosity of such a preposterous claim.
Without dedicating a thesis to the topic, your claim is absurd for a couple of obvious reasons. Since OG's are so popular in these parts, and since cloning is a monkey skill that even the most novice of a grower can achieve, the result is that ALL of these cuts have remained in clone form generation upon generation. That goes for all of the other central coast and NorCal cuts as well. There simply was never a need nor demand in the market to X these strains into anything else. The very nature of the medical cannabis market in CA is wholely reliant upon elite cuts. Your assertion that Swerve has somehow influenced the elite clone scene, consisting of growers and collectors who know better than to associate with his laughable skills as a "breeder", seem to stem from one of two places: simple ignorance due to being disconnected from the local scene, or spiteful wishing (what some refer to simply as a "hater") due of course to not having access to said cuts.

I've only heard it called Dumpster and I heard the story behind it .

Just shack up with Swerve for a few. According to BS510, he's your go to guy. Pick up an all black LA flatbill from Lids in the mall. Maybe an oversized Affliction tee. Drape a Benjamin over a roll of ones in your money clip and off to a night on the town for some bottle service.

If you don't mind meeting in the middle, we can hang out for a day and trade cuts.

I never mind handing out a clone or two to someone that appreciates the strain. Gotta keep it in more than one person's hand... I can't clone it forever...

Hell, I had to drive 2000 miles from Tennessee to Cali with 12 clones in the floorboard just to keep the bloodline alive. These are my babies. :hug:8)

Here's mine. Harvested last night. 300w CFL tent.

Can't wait to give her some proper go-go juice when I buy an HID this holiday.

Edit: And I grow 6-7 plants under that 300w, so each one gets about 100w the way I have them spread out.

By no means was this one plant grown with 300w by itself, lol.

Damn you too? I am working with that 300w tent I was talking about, and I'm pulling like 15g-20g per plant on a 6 week harvest cycle with 12 plants. (6 finishing, 6 clones going.)

Still. Nothing is more worth it. Nothing like it.

I say we all 3 do it. When we meeting, winter you said?

One of you should start a conversation and invite everyone so we can PM if we are going to share travel info instead of posting it in a public thread.

I'm fairly new and not sure how to do all of that yet, if one of you doesn't mind getting it going.

Oh I figured you meant a pound. If you were getting 1.5oz off a 1000w set up I might have to wonder :P

I average about a QP every 6 weeks off these CFLs. You can get some good yields if you know how to work the strain and plan properly.
