Why is my weed losing potency?

I harvested some Blueberry Cheese, RockLock and Blue Dream on August 3rd. Let it dry til it snapped, bout 6 days. Cured for a 4 or 5 weeks in 32oz mason jars, burping daily. Always kept at room temp and in the dark. Was great smoking for about a month , now all the strains seem to have lost their potency. A friend said the first bag i gave him was the best shit ever and then he called the next bag he got a few weeks later, the worst pot i had ever grown. And it was the same crop. Did i cure it too long? It doesn't seem like I made any errors in my curing, this happened to me once before with a crop of Jack Herer. Any insights?

It definitely didn't happen from curing too long. People cure for over a year and it makes that shit better, not worse. Did you monitor the humidity in the jars at all?

Your getting used to it maybe?

not to be contrary but that doesn't sound right at all. seems like something dramatic would have to happen to ruin your weed's THC content. your curing time seems fine. even if you left that stuff in baggies it should just get dried out and harsh before it dramatically loses potency, especially after 2-3 months. am i wrong? i can't think of an objective way to figure this out. give a friend some and don't tell them and see what they say?

Did you give him the same strain? I dont see how you could lose potency over a couple weeks. Maybe he just needs a smoke break. Why dont you try it out??

Next time give it to your buddy without saying anything about quality or how is compared to before. See what your friend says . He could be just repeating what you are saying. Some friends are like that. They mean no harm . Just want to go along with things sometimes.

I did not monitor the humidity in the jars.
And it's definitely not me getting used to it as I don't even smoke that much.
I have two friends and they both love the Rocklock. They both commented now that the second bag wasn't as good as the first. One of them also had some of my Blue Dream and commented that the second bag of Rocklock was STILL better than the Blue Dream. I'll have a new crop cured and ready in 6 weeks, we'll see how it goes. Added some new strains as well, Pakistan Valley Kush and Deathstar.

I bet you let it get to dry. But that wouldn't mess potency IMO maybe slightly
