Why is my plant looking like this

Just put the light 7 hours ago thot the light from window be enough but now it looks like it dying but roots got bigger and my first time growing in fish tank lol

I got no clue how to help ya. But please keep a journal if you continue to hydroculture

This is new to me. I didn’t realize aquaculture was growing directly in the fish tank. I thought the plants just used some of the fish water in a different medium.

You topped it too early bro.

Points for creativity, but the rooting plug shouldn't be sitting directly in water. You want it moist but not constantly wet.

That’s a dead plant. And I don’t think that’s how you do aquaponics. I’ve seen setups(on YouTube not irl) that we’re basically flood tables with reservoirs full of tilapia or catfish but you gotta let the fish live in the res for awhile to accumulate a biofilm that turns their waste into plant available nutrition and it’s a lot of fish like an inhumane number compared to the space in the res. It’s super neat if a bit mean but definitely not for the new grower. Try something more basic but props for the attempt

My roommates asked if I wanted their fish tank water when they changed it and I was just like no thanks one beta fish isn’t adding much nutrition.

I grow in my bedroom, I’ll stick to salts I don’t need to smell piss and fish guts while I’m trying to sleep.
