why is my plant growing hairs in veg?

im having something strange going on. i had a sweet tooth clone that i successfully harvested and then reveged. it's doing awesome, very bushy, nice green leaves. i have it under a 400w mh constant 24/7 light. obviously it is NOT an autoflowering plant. i noticed some white hairs starting to grow between the nodes. at first i thought it was just new growth but when i looked closer it looked like white hairs like when a plant first flowers. my la confidential plants never did this. anyone got any ideas. i'll try and get some pics when i get a chance.

also i read of people talking a lot about preflowers on plants on this forum. is this maybe what they mean? i always just thought it was newbs not knowing wtf they were talking about since i never seen them myself but maybe i was wrong and they do exist after all. from my experience i never seen hairs until after about 10 days of putting my plants on 12/12 under 400w hps. the first time i did the sweet tooth i didnt notice the hairs in veg cause i had it outdoors.

dont worry. if the plant is mature it happens. seeing as you took a clone and revegged it could be two things. Your plant still thinks it is flowering or it is just a maturity thing.

cool thanks. no sign of any hermie traits. its been in veg for over 2-3 weeks. constant light 24/7 no rest. sorry still no pics yet. later today i will be cloning her with my new aeroponic system and will take some snapshots of her.

actually im gonna clone her with my new aeroponic system. also unfortunately my other plants have a ways to go before i want to flower them. they're LA Confidential started from feminized seeds. im LSTing, my goal is to have them grow around the edge of the pot sort of like a mini spiral.

Dragging an old thread up here but I'm trying to veg a mother white widow and I'm getting hairs also. Just noticed them last night. Is it just maturity?

Nice that you searched first to find the answer at least. I'm guessing pre flowers but throw up a picture for a proper opinion

Yup, pretty darn sure that's what it is. Sometimes depending on many factors, you can stress the plant into flowering. I'll admit I'm not an expert on this. Anyone else want to weigh in?

Yeah shes just coming over mg/nitrogen? Lockout. Leaves were mg deficient yellow at tips brown spots then in an instant i had tons of completely yellow leaves that were comparable to satin to the touch. Thanks guys
