Its not about superiority. I just think its sad that there are weed smokers in the world who never puffed purple urkle! That saddens and confuses me.

It always breaks my heart when people in LA are talkin' up Larry's Kush, OG Kush, and Bubba Kush, etc. NorCal, much of our pride comes in a lot of our purple strains and I don't feel like enough people have had them.

She looks lovely - perked right up! How cold is it getting at night? I love when we get a cold snap and my plants turn purple. They say it raises the THC level if it happens toward the end of the flower cycle.

about 16 degrees/60 Fahrenheit ... which is pretty low compared to what we've been getting, about a 15 difference

I was just reading yesterday that some plants that carry color express when there is a 15 degree difference day and night. Mine usually do, but never so early. I'm experiencing 20-30 degree (80s and 90s versus 60s) differentials currently with no color change.

I can see you wanting to keep her in a pot, being in Canada. Good that it's Indica. Dragging that pot around is bound to get old, lol. Happy I can plant in ground. We usually don't get serious frost until after halloween.

we get our first frost around october, the weather has been nice hot and sunny but this week is pretty damn cool, i guess my plant isnt used to it but shes being a trooper ! its cool to have her leaves look purple/blue, but i wouldnt do it on purpose now that i know it can kill her. I dont even think her strain is supposed to be outdoors anyways

What strain is it? I am just growing bag seed but it's been going so well that I ordered seeds for next year and will do half and half. I orderes a Blue Dream because I love the plants with more interesting colors. Some of my bag seeds are from purple lines and those are so much fun to watch develop

Btw, I don't think the cool weather can do too much harm and a little stress like that might even hasten bud production (the plant thinks it's out of time and starts pushing to flower).

its Master x Blueberry , got the seeds from my friends weed actually. I want to experiment with different types too, i guess ill order some seeds for next season, i was thinking about buying lights and doing the whole indoor thing

I have to say that I am just not attracted to indoor growing. It's expensive, trickier, and the yield is much lower (plus you lose a room (or closet) in your house). I have spent several years selecting and developing my outdoor sites and learning how to overcome the challenges of growing in the great outdoors. I love being out there with my girls, feeling the sun and listening to the birds

Laney, let us know how that blue dream comes along as we get to harvest? Its traditionally a clone only strain but I would love to see a seed company master it.

Hey BigJon - it's for next year (in fact, it hasn't arrived yet). That one was from Humbolt. I ordered that and the Lemon Thai Kush because they were having a promotion (free Sour Diesels). I've never ordered before because I worried about loss. Our weather is sooo erratic (flooding/drought in cycles) but I've developed excellent sites and have figured out how to circument both contingencies. My spots are in a drainage area and I plant each one on a mound which gives it a chance to develop roots on different levels in relation to the water table. Also, heavy mulching with alfalfa maintains a cool moist environment. I'm still a little nervous about using expensive seeds so I am only going to germinate 4 and a few bagseeds.
