Actually heat wasnt too bad of a factor for me. If you have ever been to hawaii you then you could imagine what one would have to do to cool 1000watts. I get away with a total of 600cfm total to cool my 100cf cab. The only hard thing about 600's is they can only be a few inches closer then 1000's because the 600 has almost as much radiant energy as the 1k.

My 1000 watt stays cool with a 430 cfm fan and the window cracked..I don't even have the glass in on the air cooled hood.
