Why I get hermies in the winter but not other seasons

So I was taking a glance through the journals because I've gotten a few herms again and I was curious to figure out why. Was it the seeds? maybe. Im not ruling that out but I've grown many seeds from many different breeders, coincidence? maybe.

Ok so last winter I had a few hermies but nothing major and then it went away and I never worried about it. Here we are coming along into spring and I had a harvest early that was cut a tad early because two of the four turned herm (next to each other) ok then I just recently had it happen again but this time only one.

lets think of the possibilities
temperature issues - I struggle with keeping temps above 60 without a heater so I have a nice little convienent heater set at 68 when lights come on it stays at right about 73 (don't you wish you had my problems :) )

Light leaks - This is the one that I thought has been doing it the entire time. I have a tent in a room to itself. during one grow I left the door open and my walls are lined with reflective insulation and I left a beg flap open on the tent in that room so I assumed it was reflecting off. Possible. But now I've made every light tight! and still got one so then I couldn't figure it out.

PH/Health of plants -
PH is always dead on and plants are super healthy ever since going organic

So what the fuck could it be? this has been on my mind since the last hermie and since I looked in the journal and have noticed I get them in winter time!!!!

BUT I think i may have figured it out but it seems a little crazy to be true. I was in the tent lights off and was just kinda looking at things and was watching my heater and how the hot air is dispersed etc... anyway It puts off a bright red glow from the coils. BAM lightbulb turned on in my head I grabbed my light meter and it was reading about 4000 on the meter. When I had the crop with the two hermies side by side the heater was in a way facing them and they were getting that light on them. Could this be it? or am I insanely wrong? I didn't have hermies untill I started using this new heater that doesn't hide the coils. and since the heater doesn't run in the other seasons I figured that kinda narrows it down
