Your whole argument is that you didn't turn out like a group of other people who turned out similar due to their location, race, and culture.

If you don't match any of their characteristics it is pretty insensitive and ignorant to claim that they should be just like you.

I have nightmares to this day what he did to me. But because I'm not black I'm not allowed to be a punk. I'm not some 3 year old anymore. If I ever see him again, he'll drink from a straw and have to shit in a bag for the rest of his life.

If you think a taboo against discussing anything is off limits, you don't know me very well. My "fascination with rape" - oh, you make it sound so bad and incriminating when you put it like that, I'm sure that wasn't your intention though.. - you mean my "fascination with human psychology, which would include things like sexual abuse"?

How would you expect to solve anything if you aren't allowed to talk about it?

Or the answers being given are insufficient. What I am being told is that the shame and embarrassment of being raped is strong enough for some people to not report it and let their attacker go free. I accept that statistically, a small fraction of rape victims might feel this way. The argument coming from your side seems to be that this is extremely common; common enough to infect people with opinions like Flaming Pie's - where even talking about rape somehow makes you suspect.

Argument from Incredulity.

Your opinion doesn't matter. The truth is that rape is incredibly under-reported because women don't want to face the stigmas of being a rape victim or going through further embarrassment and shame. Fucking fact. Take it or leave it, but you ain't changin' it.

Your inability to comprehend this does nothing to reduce the credibility or reliability of the fact itself, and only furthers the opinion that you're either being an asshole or a troll.

I bet if you were held captive you're so badass and smart, you could guarantee everyone that you wouldn't succumb to Stockholm syndrome. You're such an expert on psychological defense mechanisms, memory repression, and the psyche of people under extreme duress.


There's nothing to solve by the way. You're the only one bumbling around trying to find out why 2+2=5..... everyone else is happy with the answer 4.
