I just briefly skimmed this and wonder …..
Why not instead of overthinking a germination , just pop your seeds in a neutral Rapid Rooter plug ? Or even a lousy jiffy puck ?
Bag seeds can run all over the place on growth , strength and of course pheno. Screwing with any seed in the beginning will bring big bad things - overfeed , man handling it , damaging its early tap root . Just because it emerges slightly pale means nothing as it will build up pigmentation over time plus squeezing seeds ? Whats that ?
Of course there will be runty / weak starters … it happens But less will happen if you stop messing with them. Bury a seed about 1/8” and just let mother nature take over …. Matter of fact , if you don’t fully get using coco down pat - start them in a solo cup soil start. Then you can later ( after good growth ) transplant that into coco - yes you can do this. Or vice versa. Seeds starts will always look different in the beginning - twinning / mutation/ whatever- but it doesn’t fully reflect what plant may grow to be.
