Why do you visit other peoples profiles?

99% of the time its because I click on their name instead of the thread or a reply on accident. The other 1% is if I cant remember how to pm or wanted to see when they were on last.

i got sentenced to 34 months. i self surrender in 3 weeks. :(
34 months!!! Damn man. You got a place in Canada to hide out if you ever need. Just bring your snow goggles! Seriously though, that really sucks dude. You have to murder someone or at least rob a couple banks up here to get that kind of time. Good luck :peace:

Pretty sure no one checks my profile, otherwise the trolls would be ' All up in my shit'

Honestly I post from my phone and I have big hands so sometimes I try and tap the "thread" to open it up and hit the "user name instead lol.. shit pisses me off sometimes.

Or like FDD said I'm checking to see when someone last signed on

Or I'm leaving a visitor message on your page. But I don't leave those often so if you get one from me you must be special ;)

i do it for pretty much the same reasons fdd'ed mentioned earlier.. if i haven't seen a poster around in awhile, i'll check out their profile to see when the last time they were on was..
i know i just checked out ......'s profile today as i was thinking i haven't seen him around in awhile, then i saw he was on around the 28th of december or so, so i guess i've just not seen his posts...
i once made the mistake of going to cannabineers profile looking for one of his posts so i could use the word he did.. five days later and i never did find the damn post..

...maybe they came from those 'private' sub-forums ;) I snuck into the 'ladies only' one to see what the heck it was all about - they were all hanging out in the bathroom together

I'm curious nothing more than that.

I see the profile page as a snap shot, a quick look at who the person is and their interests. Do we have anything in common {besides the obvious}.

I find that the profile pages aren't being used the way they should be, as a personal statement to the community, this is who I am and what I like, not everyone has it in them to chat it up on the boards and the profile page is a great way to do that.

i agree mojo.. i put up the things i'm into on my profile like f1 racing and traveling and gardening in case there are any other car nuts out there..
not like you wouldn't be able to tell i'm into cars by my username or anything though.. :D

I see the visitor count go up but often times the last ten visitors dont change.
huh, i've never really noticed that part.. i don't doubt it though as like i said, some of the recent visitor's on mine i have never even heard the names before, like maybe they're all older members or something?? idk, either that or they only joined the site to check out my profile and have never posted, lol..
damn, i'm freaking myself out a bit now, lol..

Will be updating mine after this post. Thanks for a solid post.

I have been toying with the idea of posting more links and videos on my page to the different things I find, there have been many times where I wanted to post something but thought better not, it won't go over well on the boards...passed by for something a little more "main stream" as it were {and many of those have failed so :eyesmoke:}.

The only issue would be how to attract the like minded people, but not offend the others. For example I could post a link in my sig, like many have done but does that increase my page traffic or does it create a huge ass sig lol.

BTW I'm not looking for page hits strictly for the numbers but to share some stuff I find interesting.

that's a pretty cool idea jim, never really thought of putting links to videos or w/e on my profile page, but i'm not the most computer literate person either..
i've been wanting to get my friend to make me a new sig for my new grow journal, but haven't talked to her in a bit to ask her about it.. if you've ever seen my friend mindmelted, she did that one as well..

i would think you could put a link in your sig that would take people to your profile page mojo, but not 100% on that tbh..

I've been going way back and reading posts from the beginning. Lots of the same convos/arguments just under different names! Also I notice people were much more cautious. Whatever happened to that windowmaker person, they seemed to be Rollies right hand mod for a few years.
