Why do cannabis produce t.h.c?

I saw alot of people saying that its sticky and so it should help to collect male polen but then why the plant doesnt only produce t.h.c on pistils? what would be the purpose to grow them every where?? It has no sence! its wasted energie! Some say it help to protect against the sun or and predator which again is totally wrong because then why do male plant doesnt produce t.h.c??? Dont they need to survive just as well as the female to keep the specie alive? One like another cant let anything eat them to death till they have done what they are supoed to! Some also say it help to regulate heat but then again why male dont produce them to regulate it too??? it has no sense >.< Why the fuck do cannabis produce thc i cant stop to think about it and cant find any logical explanation! Well i could but the problem is the male plant which shit up every theorys >.< And the most of all and interesting question is why do Human brain has t.h.c receptor? If its only used has a plant protection then why do we also have the possibility to use it as well? This plant is so mysterious i'm becoming insane

OK..... The stickiness from the resin glands is a natural defense against drought, birds and predators... The resin glands although have THC are not the deciding factor in how good or bad something will be. You can have weed that is absolutely covered in resin glands that won't get you high.

You don't understand the grow cycle of the marijuana plant in it's entirety. Marijuana when it is young, does not care if it survives so much, when they are young there is LOTS of plants... As they mature, they get more worried about the end of life, so they start defending and protecting their seed...

Males.. They grow, they pop their flowers and pollen, and then die... Females collect the pollen from the male and then go into "protection mode", and start forming all of the traits necessary to protect itself from the elements and predators.

Now, think about this, not every place on the planet is the same, like in Afghanistan, plants have a shorter grow season, so they tend to make wider and fatter leaves, so they can obtain more sunlight. They also turn a much darker green to near purple color in an effort to absorb more heat and sun towards the end of summer and fall, which is when the end of their grow cycle is. The resin glands also help in protecting the plant from the drought conditions.

In the tropics where Sativa grows, you have a whole different style, skinnier leaves and lighter green leaves means they get more sunlight than their Afghan cousins, not as much resin glands because they are not suffering drought conditions and Sativa grows taller, so they do not have to protect themselves from ground predators as much.

Just cause it doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense.

Then why do they stop producing it when they get polinated?.. if thats for protecting them/seed ect? shouldnt then in that case of what you are explaining produce more thc to help for protection? why are they doing the exact opposite? why when they get polinated they stop producing it they should instead from what you say produce more and more and more??? Why do the produce the protection even if they are not polinated? to protect which seed???????????

Because all of the plants production goes into making a VIABLE seed that will drop to the ground and germinate.

It's all about producing a good seed and off spring. The plant grows itself for the future. Get it?

The plant is using THC to protect ITSELF.. not it's SEED.

The Stickiness is there to prevent animals from messing with the seed, which is why resin production accelerates towards the end of the grow.

BUT THEN HOW CAN IT PROTECT IT SELF FROM THOSE PREDATOR IF SHE DOESNT PRODUCE THE RESIN? ( ONCE SHE GET POLINATED ) ( TO PROTECT THE SEED FROM THEM/FLOWER WAT EVER ) <--- USING THC IF ONCE THEY GET POLINATED THEY STOP DOING IT?????????????????????????????????????????????????

RESIN AND THC ARE NOT THE SAME FUCKING THING!!!!

Resin is NOT THC..

THC AND RESIN PRODUCTION ARE NOT RELATED.

THC is for the plants protection.....

RESIN is for SEED PROTECTION...... It's why you don't see RESIN on STEMS and leaves so much, you see it on the buds....

Just accept it what you are saying has no sense! She cant start to produce more thc toward the end of the season ( to protect her ) if once she get polinated she stop producing it? She should instead produce more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you know that right? polinated girl stop the thc production! do you?

Listen.... THC PROTECTS THE PLANT NOT THE SEED!


The plant starts DYING once it gets pollinated.... It doesn't need to produce more THC, as it is DYING.... So it goes into producing resin to protect the forming SEED...

No???????? But im learning it! And you guys all have ignored the fact that why do we have THC receptor in our brain if its only used for a plant protection???? Didnt appeard by magic! It has with out any doubt way other unkown use to it. So now try to counter that! He also say that fem use them to protect them self from predator but male as has as much importance to stay alive then them! Both cant just let something eat them and ruin the sex plan or its the end of this race so why again im gonna ask, dont they produce it AS WELL?
