Now THAT is a question I would like to see answered myself. We may not like the answer, however. Ultimately we ALL were responsible for the September 10th complacency which precipitated the security lapse which led to 9-11.

Of course bush stood to gain. He's a figurehead who could have made the resulting events take place. Hell the man went to war without congressional approval on the back of the unconstitutional Patriot act. He may be a pawn but he's no minion. He had plenty to gain. All Americans are responsible for the weak security mindset leading up to 9-11. The Arab/Muslim world declared economic war on us in 1973. Since then it has been a clash of civilizations largely ignored by the American people. A clash which became bloody long before the towers came down.

Good Post. I've watched all of Alex Jones documentaries (and countless others) and agree with you that it was an inside job. Below is a list of main stream news articles that are food for thought on the subject - Enjoy while you can - some have already been "disappeared".

Here is my rebuttal:

Usāmah bin Muḥammad bin`Awaḍ bin Lādin was a CIA operative. Un-disputable, he worked with the CIA during the Cold War-era proxy war with the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. However, there is no evidence he cooperated with the agency since February 15, 1989, when the final Soviet troops re-deployed out of Afghanistan. In fact, after the mujahideen dissolved into chaos of internal struggle for control of the country, there is very little evidence of any cooperation with any foreign agents, including the CIA.

Bin Laden himself discounted the effect of U.S. involvement against the Soviets.

The Islamists who fought also believed that they were responsible for the fall of the Soviet Union. Osama bin Laden, for example, was asserting the credit for "the collapse of the Soviet Union ... goes to God and the mujahideen in Afghanistan ... the US had no mentionable role," but "collapse made the US more haughty and arrogant."

Alliances shift every day. Sometimes they are official and out in the open and sometimes they are discreet. Germany and Japan were both our enemies at one time, but are now staunch allies. France was our ally for a long time. But through it's actions, France was our enemy until recently. Remember 'freedom fries' and 'freedom kissing' your girlfriends? The French people got the message of the unofficial boycott and finally recognized the threat they face from the clash of civilizations. Now France is our ally once again.

The CIA has propped up and supported some of the most heinous, brutal dictators in recent history. Remember the photo of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam Hussein? Our hands are not clean by any means. The CIA would work with Satan himself to gain an advantage in any given situation.

In 1998 bin Laden appeared on my radar. I remember ABC News interviewed him in a cave somewhere. He claimed openly he would seek to "wage war against America."

I was neither surprised nor shocked on September 11, 2001. I did not know bin Laden was behind 9-11, but I believed the man when we vowed to take the fight to us. I was not shocked because I was reeling from a nasty divorce finalized September 4, 2001, exactly a week to the day before 9/11. I was already in a state of shock.
