Lack of regulation means costs will drop for cellphone service, right? As if quality and customer satisfaction will go up because of unregulated cellphone service right? Both of which are not true. But its OK to let a nonessential service like cellphones be fucked up due to the primacy of profits over quality. Heathcare? no. At this time healthcare is completely fucked up in terms of cost and delivery of service but the government has set standards below which a health care provider cannot legally go. Unlike cell phones.
The public-private payment system used in the US isn't world class, however. We don't have the same level of quality and satisfaction in healthcare service that the people of Canada have. Theirs is a single payer system. No reason why we can't model our system on theirs or better yet on Netherland's system which is truly innovative.
But that breaks another right wing concept of yours. That government stultifies innovation. Also not true..

I am not in favor of universal healthcare. Not when the Democrats suggest it and not when the Republicans suggest it.
I am in favor of capitalism, competition and free markets like Lasix eye surgery which has come down in cost and become significantly better over the years.
I do not believe the propaganda coming out of other countries, especially countries that punish speech. You cannot compare heathcare in the US to healthcare in Cuba. There are too many differences for it to be compatable.

For the most part, locals like the Milners don’t blame big farmers. After all, it’s hard to criticize those whose hard work has been bolstered by good fortune, even though they may have been born into a land-rich family. Instead, it’s Hillary Clinton or President Obama who are the main targets of bitter complaints.
I have an acquaintance here who is rich because she inherited her dad's land. She is fiscally shrewd but has not the first idea about farming. She offered me one of her greenhouses to start an organic vegetable farm but I'm not that good yet. She's worth millions. She smokes bud but votes Republican status quo here.

It's something working out in the heat here. The last month has been straight 100F everday and the gnats, mosquitos, ants and sandfleas just make it miserable. I respect the work the farmers and farmhands do to bring us fresh food.
