why cant i start a grow journal

Everytime i try and start a thread it says i dont not have permission. Only does this in the grow journal section, strange....

did you go to the thresd tools and select start a new thread?

I'm pretty sure you have to be on for a certain amount if time I tried when I first joined and couldn't either. So just check stuff out and mingle and before you know it's go time
