Hi, my seedlings are growing really slow they're 3 weeks old and are only on the 2nd node. I'm growing under 170w blue spec cfl, canna coco soil, ph of water is 6.2. Strains are 1 x white widow and 1 x aurora indica. I don't understand why they're growing so slow.

Hey indica, it's all good. Here is a pic of my ladies 2 weeks after germination. No HID's for now. Give it 2 weeks trust me. Don't over water them. Let the soil get dry to the point the cup almost feels empty (take a cup the same size and fill it with completely dry soil and use it as a gauge). I germed on April 22nd, the 1st pic is 2 weeks after germ and the 2nd pic is about 4 days old... I have a journal, link is in my sig.

Yeah i think i might order some different seeds and kill these ones off

Just out of curiosity, why not just let them grow and see if you get bud? If you want a new seed order, I recommend Attitude all the way. 100% germination for me (with the exception of a certain girlfriend trying to be helpful and speed up germination time, turned the heating pad to medium and fried 400 bucks worth). Do you have strains in mind or are you still looking around? If you order between Oct 1st and 4th you get 3 free feminized seeds on top of the freebiues that they throw in with every order. Kandy Kush (the 10FT plant I posted is KK) Pineapple Express and Blueberry Gum - you get 10% off for entering promo code 420. HERE IS A LINK TO ATTITUDE'S WEBSITE Yes I'm an affiliate but I'm honest in my reviews and only support companies that treat me right. Get the guaranteed shipping, the shirts are cool too.

You do not want to HPS a 2 week old seedling. Trust me. You will fry it.
There is so much bad information on here. +REP for good advice my friend. CFL's are all you need for rooting. The more powerful the light, the more energy it will spend trying to veg, instead of developing root structure. Hell, you can even grow and flower unfer CFL's - sure HID's produce, but if you're on a budget you grow with what you can afford.
